25.01.2022 So crazy pleased with Luca doing his first ever bike run tonight. He rocked it. I figure this will be good when time is really short he can run on the grass strips. No photo tonight as way too dark and rode using head torch.
24.01.2022 What a great bunch of people and pups working at different early stages of training in our Melbournes beautiful weather. Ok slightly damp, cool, momentarily sunny back to rain

23.01.2022 A good read, https://www.abc.net.au//quick-guide-on-what-to-do/11813124
22.01.2022 With the heat upon us so quickly, please be aware of your dogs. Obviously right If your dog has a long coat and has been in water, note that water trapped low in the coat gets hot from the sun. Provide shade, better yet bring in out of heat if possible. If you need to cool your dog water can be applied from underneath on the stomach and where the legs connect to the body. Watch out for hot roads and paths. Grass is a lot cooler for our dogs paws. Be vigilant as snakes are out, keep your dogs with you. See you Sunday Come dressed for Melbourne weather
21.01.2022 Oh Gumtree selling Maremma pups. 3rd person this week making contact. Sadly all three young dogs are fearful and resisting any handling. I dont believe from same litter. Perhaps same back yard breeder.
21.01.2022 My husband isn't a fan of drawers left open. Opportunity knocks so they say. Thanks buddy
21.01.2022 When you dont take your dog to training. The look you get when you get home
21.01.2022 To my clients, freinds and family. I'm unable to return calls and organise consults due to complete lack of sound of voice. As soon as health and voice return you will hear from me. Remember with or without me have fun with your loved ones and fur members. Be the leader your dog expects you to be. Be fair, consistent and work to build the best dogs you can. Till soon
20.01.2022 Hi everyone, how is your quarantine with your dogs and pups going? It feels like ages since weve been allowed out and about, and there is still more to come. Being stuck at home can be quite exhausting or great fun depending on which way you want to look at it. For those of you interacting with your dogs and making shared fun with your family. ENJOY... Try to schedule in some training sessions with your dogs, finish on some wins If you have young children in the house, please ensure that both the dog and the children have a quiet (or safe zone) where they can relax without being pushed and pulled at. Ensure that children are supervised around the dogs. Please do not allow young children free access to poke, pull or lay across the dog. Please be aware that anytime a puppy or dog gets hurt it may not be thinking that it shouldnt react in a particular way, rather it just reacts. Keep your dogs and children safe so they can grow and enjoy each others company. Good Friday Please stay safe and well

19.01.2022 Hi all, it has come to my attention that a grooming salon in the our area (no names mentioned) claims to encourage pups first groomer interaction with pups at liberty around groomers feet with no guidance. Please if you see this please do not do this. This is not an appropriate method of pup interaction. Please

18.01.2022 Please please be aware where you are and check for 1080 being used in your area. Often people on holiday dont do their research. Its lethal and there is No antidote. If you visit a protected state park over the holidays, ask a ranger why they are permitting the application of a poison considered to be a potential weapon of mass destruction (WMD) by the FBI. Ask them why a chemical that has been proven ineffective, cruel and indiscriminate is an acceptable practice in a p...ark that citizens must pay to enjoy (our supporter was asked to pay an $8 entry fee so could not take photos of the other signs past the gate). If you need any data to back your arguments up, visit www.ban1080.org.au/faqs or www.ban1080.org.au/resources

16.01.2022 It is not OK for Vet practices or Pet stores to run puppy classes using untrained staff/ not dog trainers. Being a lovely or well intentioned person is not enough. Please ask the question. What are the qualifications held by the staff running the class. From 6-16 weeks of your pups life, this is a super important phase of your pups life. You cannot get back this time in your pups life. Ask for the trainers qualifications. If they like to push a particular dog food, RU...N. At that point you can be sure they are being sponsored by that company. Just because they have a store front does not mean they can give your pup the right start for your developing pup. Sales of unnecessary equipment bedding or toys are also common. Do your research Rant Over. Give your pup the best start you can.

12.01.2022 Box work this evening. The aim of the task is to stay focused with head in the box regardless of whats going on around the box. If he decides to move away or loses focus on the item in the box between food. The game and opportunity for food is over till the next meal time.
11.01.2022 Today our challenge was leave it. Thanks HelenMany dogs cant stop themselves from picking up things in their mouths on a walk. Its just not safe that they should continue to do it. All pups on conclusion of class were able to initially avoid and then better it by being aware of it, and simply walking past and or over the top of the food path to later celebrate that earned reward from their handler. Such a great thing to learn.
10.01.2022 Yep we made it. End of week R+R couch and bestie. Share your latest snuggle image with your bestie.
10.01.2022 Station tragic light activation.
08.01.2022 Just spent a hour catching a sweet frightened collarless Shar-Pei. Sometimes it takes a village, thanks to those that helped including Rob. Im really glad she found her way home, with thanks to Glen at council for the dogs ride home. Please note everyone you have a much better chance of getting your dog back if you have phone numbers or council tag on your dog.
07.01.2022 Please be aware when using essential oils and diffusers in your home around your dogs and cats. Many are considered dangerous. They smell great to us but are toxic to our pets. There are many articles on the internet discussing this very topic. Do your research and know the risks.

06.01.2022 So proud of all the students from classes this morning. You will often hear me talk about people who have things they need to work on with their dogs. From struggles to strengths. Yes! the things that the dog already does well can take a back seat while working on the struggle, thats ok, your goal is to change the dogs outlook, attitude or behaviour to that struggle. Remember make it worth the dogs while. Baby steps, reward often, through something the dog val...ues, finds motivating, it might be food, play or touch. Figure that out and your dog will work harder. Let the dog celebrate its wins Remember training is a journey, there shouldnt be a final goal, just keep pushing those goal posts a little further, keep the relationship and training journey fresh and striving for new things. Every pup or dog is on a different journey, for some, building confidence is the initial goal. Others that have confidence may be working on something else. Remember every journey is your own. Make it awesome
06.01.2022 Soo.... Its time to get back to training. For those that never stopped. I salute you! For those just starting, welcome to the journey.
