23.01.2022 Part 3 - Face trim
22.01.2022 http://chng.it/zDPKH7r2jm So at this stage it looks like home groomers may not be able to open until October 26th Until I get clarification I’m not going to reschedule any appointments or make any other bookings.... If I can’t open on the 28th September the only option for grooming will be in a shopfront, pet store or groomer at a vet. I’m absolutely distraught and gutted at the thought of letting so many people down so have everything crossed that I can open on 28th September
22.01.2022 **Update** So as it stands right now, home groomers along with mobile groomers aren’t permitted to re-open until we move into step 3 (October 26th, depending on number of cases). The only places open on 28th September will be groomers at vets, pet stores and shop fronts. I’m not willing to open and risk myself or my clients getting a large fine. ... PLEASE BOOK IN NOW with one of the above to get your pups groomed. Most dogs won’t be able to wait until the end of October and by then I can’t possibly fit everyone in that had booked in with me. There are many people fighting this so it could all change at any time I’m not the sort of person that lets people down easily so this is killing me at the moment. I had hoped that I could bring you good news by the end of the week but this is how it stands as of now. I’m so sorry
21.01.2022 Please do NOT attempt to cut matted fur with scissors. The only way to remove mats is with clippers and a short blade by a skilled professional.
21.01.2022 There seems to be some confusion as to whether grooming from a home salon is allowed or not. I haven’t made any appointments yet until I’m 100% sure that I’m allowed to open. I’ll keep you posted. Sorry for the roller coaster ride and thank you again for your patience
20.01.2022 From today’s press conference. Confirmation only grooming from a retail shop front premises is permitted until the 3rd step. Absolutely ridiculous, but those are the rules. 5,000 fines now apply for individuals or up to 20,000 for business.
20.01.2022 Hi everyone, I hope you’re all well. I hope my furry friends are well too, I’m missing them. I just thought I’d post a bit of a guide to help you with home maintenance during this time. Washing - wash with a good quality shampoo made for dogs only. Human shampoo has a different ph level that can damage dogs skin and coat. ... Drying- make sure to fully dry your pup after washing. When your pups coat is mostly dry, brush and dry at the same time to seperate the coat and remove loose dead coat. You can use your own hairdryer but make sure the heat setting is turned to low. For a quicker and more effective dry look into purchasing a dog dryer. If your pup doesn’t like the sound of the dryer you can purchase a happy hoodie or fold and wrap a towel over the ears. Brushing - you need to line brush down to the skin (look it up on YouTube) with a long pinned slicker followed with a metal comb down to the skin. Either place them up on a table with an extra pair of hands to help or look at purchasing a basic grooming table with a rail above to tie them to. It’s best to do it in short bursts with lots of praise and treats when your pup is being good. I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any questions
19.01.2022 At this stage grooming falls under stage 3, which means it will be at least the end of October until we can re-open. We can work safely with no human contact. Luckily my clients visit regularly so have been able to cope with a six week lockdown but if we’re closed for any longer they will start to suffer. ... Please feel free to post a pic of your scruffy puppies or ISO home grooms on here or on your own page with the hashtag #clipandcollect
19.01.2022 Part 1 (of4) - Brushing/matted coat.

There are a couple left for end of December (after Christmas) and first week of January. I’ll be keeping a waiting list for all existing clients that would like a pre -Christmas appointment. Sorry no new clients at this time. ...
18.01.2022 Welcome back Baxter When home and mobile grooming were forced to stay in lockdown, more than half my clients had to go to retail groomers. It’s been great to see so many now returning

15.01.2022 1st full groom for Ruby
15.01.2022 So it looks like grooming won’t be able to open until 28th September at the earliest or possibly the end of October. I’m waiting on clarification and will hopefully be able to give you some idea in the next couple of days. For the health and welfare of so many dogs let’s hope it’s September If your pup is suffering with a matted coat please contact your vet as some vets are doing welfare clips. If they don’t do it they may know another vet that does. In the meantime please keep brushing and combing your pups. I posted four videos of home maintenance a couple of weeks ago if you’d like to have a look - Matted coats, brushing and combing, nail trimming, face trimming. Please take care and I’ll be in touch as soon as I know more
13.01.2022 Part 2 - Brushing and combing
12.01.2022 **edit** I’m just waiting on clarification of a few things but will get back to people when I know, hopefully early next week Yay!!! Grooming can resume from 28th September ... I know everyone is excited but I’m getting swamped with messages and may not be able to get back to you until next week. I will be in touch with everyone in order of those appointments that were canceled first in the diary. If you’re in my diary I won’t forget you. Please keep brushing and combing your pups down to the skin daily to avoid matting as it may take at least a few weeks after opening before I’m able to get your pup in for an appointment. Unfortunately I can’t take new clients for the rest of the year. Thank you everyone for your support and patience during this time. I know it’s been a very stressful time for everyone
12.01.2022 So, as expected, not a lot of change, or great news, out of today’s announcement BUT as home based and mobile grooming can start operating in step 3, I may be able to open from 19th October instead of 26th if there’s a 14 day average of under 5 cases. I’m going to hold off making any appointments at this stage, to see how things are tracking. Hopefully most people have been able to secure an appointment at a retail store, but I’ll still message everyone in order of those appointments cancelled first in the diary to see who still needs an appointment with me. Thanks for all your updates and photos of your pups at home, you’ve been doing an awesome job of taking care of them under the horrendous circumstances. I’m missing them so much but not long to go now hopefully
09.01.2022 Part 4 - Nail trim
08.01.2022 And that’s it for me for six weeks. COVID clips all round today. Thanks for the extra love and kisses today Lexie & Macey, Otis & Roxy, Lenny and Henry, I needed it. Thank you everyone for your kind words and thoughts. It saddens me to have to stop the job I love and not be able to help all your precious pups. I’m just a message or phone call away if you have any questions. I will try to post some handy hints and anything I find that may be useful in maintaining your pups a...t home. If anyone is in desperate need, I think some of the larger pet stores with grooming attached may still be open for now. Please stay home, stay safe and let’s get rid of this bloody virus. Thinking of you all
08.01.2022 Chrissy gifts have arrived Locally hand made by Pawtastic treats. If you’ve visited in the last few weeks, and won’t be back before Christmas, please feel free to drop in and collect one.
07.01.2022 Moo’s first groom
07.01.2022 Just in case anyone missed this the first time. There’s also matting explained, nail trimming and face trimming that I posted a couple of weeks ago and a post with what brushes/combs etc to use. You’ll have to scroll back through the posts to find them. Brushing every day correctly will really help prevent painful matts from forming xx
06.01.2022 Unfortunately due to the stage 4 restrictions and the need for everyone to stay home to stop the spread of this awful virus, the salon will be closed from Wednesday night for six weeks. I will be in contact with everyone in order of bookings to re-schedule when I know for sure when I’ll be opening again. Everyone else’s appointments after six weeks will also need to be pushed back a little bit, so I’ll be in contact with everyone that has a booking. Luckily all your pooches have regular grooming appointments, so as long as you brush daily, they should all be ok Take care everyone. Sending love to you and all your pups, I’m going to miss them
05.01.2022 Just a reminder that I’m not rescheduling any appointments until I have an official date of stage 4 restrictions being lifted. As soon as I know, I will contact everyone in the order of the bookings I had in my diary to reschedule. I was fully booked for six+ weeks so I’ll have a lot of people to fit in. I will work extra hours, fit more dogs into a day and do shorter length clips to try to get as many dogs in as soon as I can when I reopen. For those existing clients that ...didn’t have a booking, I’m keeping a list and will do my best to fit you in after I’ve rescheduled the clients that were already booked in. Let me know if you’d like to be added to it. All going well I’ll try to do a brushing, nail and face trim demo on the weekend Take care, Bianca
05.01.2022 For metropolitan Melbourne to be able to move to step 3 and for me to be able to open, we need the following: * The average number of cases to be under 5 for 14 days AND * Less than 5 cases with an unknown source in the last 14 days. ... I’m not able to make any appointments at this stage until I know when we’ll be able to move to step 3.
02.01.2022 If grooming isn’t allowed back soon it’s going to become a serious health and welfare situation for our dogs. Please sign to get us back to work caring for your pups
