22.01.2022 Tongue Out Tuesday!

17.01.2022 Worked on a little bit of jump form with Havoc in our quick lunchtime training session NB Havoc is fully grown - his growth plates have closed. Prior to this, dogs should not jump higher than ankle height as it increases the risk of arthritis and other joint issues later in life.

13.01.2022 Novelty Surprise Party! This is such a great game for building optimism and confidence in dogs of all ages and physical abilities. TIPS!... Keep it easy enough for your dog to confidently explore - when in doubt, include fewer items Allow your pooch to explore all on their very own. There should be no pressure or "encouraging" Short sessions (~30 seconds) throughout the day/week are the most effective Play during ad breaks or while the kettle boils so it's easy to weave into everyday life Have fun! https://youtu.be/ZndTFbiYdbI

12.01.2022 Gotta love when your dogs love their crates so much they both choose to nap there at the same time #synchronisedsleeping

08.01.2022 With dog training shows like "Canine Intervention" and "The Dog Whisperer" popularising aversive training in the name of so-called "pack leadership" and "dominance" it is important that dog owners have access to scientifically sound information. This great article by the late Dr Sophia Yin explains the risks of copying "dominance" and other aversive methods. https://drsophiayin.com//experts_say_dominance-based_dog_/

04.01.2022 Believe you can. Don't just turn up, mentally show up. Be present. Work hard. You got this #deafdogsrock #deafnotdumb Image description: deaf, white boxer dog jumping over agility jump. Handler directs jump in the background. Caption reads: What if I fall? Oh, but my darling, what if you fly? Erin Hanson

03.01.2022 Does your dog ignore you? Are they "stubborn"? Do they lie down and just refuse to move? Does your dog walk away when you try to get them engaged? Do they look away or scratch when you ask them to do something?... Did you know that these are all signs that your dog is sensitive to pressure? Take a look at this video, note the early warning signs that Kaos is finding this game too tricky AND see what I do to help him out! Happy training

01.01.2022 Mama won’t let me chase the birds in the car park! #dogabuse
