25.01.2022 It would be so awesome if you could sign this petition and also share it...so many dogs require regular grooms not so much for pampering but to prevent matting and hygiene requirements. As its been so long now, it has become a serious animal welfare issue- not to mention the numerous injuries occurring from some owners trying to groom the dogs themselves!

18.01.2022 Off Leash Dogs- its such a contentious issue. There are some key points to remember when you are out and about with your dog, and one of them is, its not neces...sarily about you and your dog. You may have the sweetest, most playful dog that ever lived, but not everyone does, and its unfair on both your dog and the dog who isnt comfortable being approached by other dogs to allow it to occur without checking in. So if the area is not a designated off lead area, ALL dogs need to be on lead, and if you are in an off lead area and a dog is walking through on lead, recall your dog back to you or to another area away from the on lead dog walking through. Remember, there are lots of reasons why someone might not want to have their dog interact with your dog right then and there, so be considerate and lets keep everyone safe and happy.

17.01.2022 What do your walks look like? The large majority of our walk time is free sniffing. Street walks and short leads can be hugely stressful for a lot of dogs. Rest...ricted on short leads, dogs barking through fences, traffic, pedestrians....its a lot to take in! Sniffing is what its all about for dogs. Its how they take in info about their world, and its super relaxing for them. Im a huge advocate for free walking your dogs and letting them sniff, explore, take in their world at their pace. A lot of dogs just dont cope with street walks and owners misperceive their dogs pulling and zig zagging and inability to pay attention to them as being naughty or disobedient. Instead its more likely a sign their dogs not coping with the environment and trying to escape or being super sensitive from worry about perceived threats. Slow down your walks and let them sniff instead of trying to get kilometres done. You might be surprised how much more chilled your dog is afterwards from healthy mental stimulation instead of exhausted from stress or even more worked up from too much stimulation. See more
