25.01.2022 Rounding off our Aussie invasion today were Misha and the very exuberant Milo. You can see he struggled to sit still for a photo. Such gorgeous well behaved kids.

25.01.2022 We havent shared anything in a while, so how about an adorable ball of fluff to brighten this dreary Melbourne day! Meet Louis, he is a Finnish Lapphund puppy. Louis came for his first visit today and was on his very best behavior.

24.01.2022 Another week with some new Aussies. They are fast becoming the most likely to be seen breed in our salon. Jax (red) and Mack (black) came to visit today. They were both such good boys for their first visits.

23.01.2022 Our hearts just melted today when little Ralphie came to visit. Ralphie is a Griffon Bruxellois, a breed that is close to Clares heart as she used to have one. He was in for his first handstrip today, he was the best behaved little baby and took it all in his stride.... We think he is just adorable.

23.01.2022 Harry the Border Collie came in today for a makeover and his mum asked if we could take a before and after photo. Harry had some dreads forming in his neck and chest and some serious yetti feet happening, and his mum said he might not be good with the dryer. Harry showed her! He was a perfect angel for everything, he loved his warm bath, stood still exactly where he needed to be for drying and brushing out his excess hair and trimming his feet and ears and then posed for a fi...nal photo. I think he enjoyed the cuddles at the end the most though.

21.01.2022 Great start to the week with this handsome fluffy cloud. Believe it or not Gus the Samoyed is only 8 months old. He had his first visit to K9 Makeovers today, and could not have been better behaved, he took everything in his stride.

18.01.2022 Adorable Mango the 11year old Miniature Poodle had his first ever visit to a grooming salon today. Mango has been groomed by his mum all his life, and we have to say she had been doing a great job, however she decided it would be nice to treat him to a day at the spa with a groomer. He was such a well behaved boy.... Thanks for visiting today Mango!

13.01.2022 We are now stocking a selection of the Melanie Newman Salon Essentials range of products. We have currently have the two varieties we use in the salon, Purify and Relax. These are all made from natural ingredients with essential oils. We use these shampoos on your dogs daily in our salon and they are just amazing. There are two other varieties which we can order in. If you have any questions feel free to have a chat to us.... We are also stocking slicker brushes and combs.

13.01.2022 A truly sad end to the week. I received a message late today that Freckles had sadly passed away after a short illness, Freckles along with her Newfoundland and Golden Retriever cohorts Jazzy and Guthrie come in every 4 weeks and are due to visit next week. I know you arent supposed to have favourites, but I cant deny that Freckles truly was one of my favourite clients.... In this job we see most of our clients regularly and they become part of our lives, you dont become a groomer unless you love dogs. I am feeling heartbroken for Freckles family both human and dog, her and her antics with toys will be sorely missed by us here at K9 Makeovers.

12.01.2022 IMPORTANT NOTICE To all my lovely and loyal customers, it is with a heavy heart I write this. Effective as of close of business tonight K9 Makeovers Dog Grooming will be closing its doors. This is not forever, but a hopefully short interlude.... I opened here in January 2017 and for the last 3 and a bit years have been blessed with so many beautiful dogs and their equally amazing owners gracing our salon. I will 100% not be ending here, and will be back in business as soon as it is possible. I cant wait to resume taking care of all my adorable fury clients and I am heart broken like many other people who have had to shut their business and/or have lost their jobs during this pandemic! However, I am looking forward to the future and am excited to see everyone back again at the end of all of this. I want to thank you all for trusting me to take care of your beautiful furry ones and hope to see you all on the other side once this storm has calmed. 12.01.2022 We are still open! From midnight tonight we go back into stage 3 lockdown. We are still allowed to stay open, and as you are obtaining a service for a member of your household, your dogs are still allowed to come visit.... So we will still be here as long as we still have clients making bookings :) At this stage opening hours will still stay limited to Tuesday - Thursday by appointment. This will continue to be assessed.

11.01.2022 WE ARE OPENING AGAIN! As per the government announcement this morning. We will reopen on the 28th September. We will wait for clarification on the Business Victoria website, regarding the 5km travel rule.... Once we have clarification, we will start contacting everyone to reschedule appointments. If you have an appointment from the 14th-25th I will contact you ASAP to reschedule from the 28th. If you have an appointment AFTER these dates you will be contacted to confirm your appointment, some appointments may need to be pushed back in order to accommodate bookings from prior weeks. However we will be aiming to get everyone in as soon as possible. I am trying to be fair to everyone and appointments pre booked will be prioritised in order of appointment date. Please be patient, we are just as excited to be back as you are, and can't wait to see everyone again. We just need to get ourselves organised to make opening as smooth as possible while following COVID safe protocols.

11.01.2022 How gorgeous is Hazel! Hazel came in from the cold today to enjoy a warm bath and blowdry. Even though she has a short coat, like all Labradors she needs regular baths to keep her shedding hair at bay. Thanks for visiting Hazel.

11.01.2022 Ralph had a very busy day at his first visit to both K9 Workouts Daycare and K9 Makeovers Dog Grooming. It was time for a rest after his bath. Typical Labrador puppy, he soon discovered his bow tie and decided it might be tasty so a nap was put on hold.

08.01.2022 Adorable miss Sage came in with her big brother Shodan today. She is now all ready for her first dog show this weekend. She took everything in her stride and loved giving kisses while being dried. Hope you have a ball Sage!

04.01.2022 Pip the Golden Retriever says the chin scratches are the best part of her visit. Pip visited for the first time today, she was a little unsure to start with being a new place, but she was on her best behaviour for her groom and decided afterwards the best thing was to come up and rest her head on my leg and get pats. Such a typical smoochy Golden.

04.01.2022 We know we shouldnt have favourites, but handsome Batman the Samoyed does fall into the category, he does from mud monster to sparkly cloud every visit, he loves being a dog and having a ball between his regular visits. While he makes us work hard to undo all his fun in the dirt, he makes up for it by being a sweetheart and giving lots of kisses through his whole groom. How could you resist that adorable face. Im not sure his mum appreciates the excited barking and pulling her towards the salon to get in though.

04.01.2022 Ellie the cavoodle, also known as cutest little munchkin around had her very first visit to a grooming salon today. She was on her very best behaviour and took all the new sights, sounds and experiences in her stride. She had a warm bath, blow dry and tidy up. Getting used to the dryer, clipper and scissors are so important to puppies to ensure they love their visits in the future.... We love having puppies in young for their first visit, it makes it a much more enjoyable experience for both us and them that as they get older, visits to the groomer are just part of their life and nothing out of the ordinary or to be worried about.

03.01.2022 This weekend we cleared out and cleaned up. Such a big difference to what we started with. It is incredible just how much stuff you accumulate over 4 years of being somewhere. 02.01.2022 With stage 4 lockdown now announced at this stage we do not know if we are able to continue operating, we will know more tomorrow. However it has been announced that there is a 5km travel limit in place so those of you who are 5km or more away from us will unfortunately not be able to visit for 6 weeks or until more info is announced. 02.01.2022 Zeus the Australian Shepherd came in for a spruce up all ready for his 2nd birthday tomorrow! Zeus brings us to Aussie #16 for the month. With 2 more booked in on Tuesday our monthly Aussie total for June will be 18. We had 13 Aussies come through our doors in May. ... What number will July bring? A friend with Aussies has said to me I should add one to the logo, maybe she is right
