22.01.2022 I met Shiva and his brother Cosma last year and sadly Cosma passed away from a heart condition quite unexpectedly not long after Simon's session with me. Simon decided another brother for Shiva would help both of them overcome the enormous grief both of them felt and was only going to get one but came home with two brothers for Shiva. Meet 11 month old twins Kali and Jai! Simon said there were some initial settling in problems but the three of them are now inseparable.

14.01.2022 Bernese Mountain Dogs are definitely a breed of dog I would love to have. I do know though that these large breeds are known to not have a long life. But Imogen tells me that how ever long 2 year old Luna's life will be, it will be a life filled with so much love. Both Imogen and her mum Jo are doing everything they can to prevent anything happening to Luna and with the amount of love and care I saw today, I have no doubt in my mind, this larger than life gal will be earthbound longer than expected. Honestly I have cuddled a lot of dogs in my time but Luna's cuddles were second level squeezy

13.01.2022 Willow in my studio today. I have a soft spot for Kelpies <3

13.01.2022 ~ All I want to feel when I fall asleep is your arms around me ~

12.01.2022 TODAY IS RUOK DAY 2020 has been a challenging year for everyone and circumstances have made it even more important for us all to stay connected and, for those who are able, be willing to support those around us. You don’t have to be an expert to keep the conversation going when someone says they’re not OK. By knowing what to say you can help someone feel supported and access appropriate help long before they’re in crisis, which can make a really positive difference to their ...life. If you feel like something’s not quite the same with someone you know there’s something going on in their life or you notice a change in what they’re saying or doing - trust that gut instinct and take the time to ask them Are you OK? If someone says they’re not OK, make time to listen, encourage action and check in. That conversation could change, or even save, their life.

12.01.2022 Luna is definitely not the biggest dog to have graced my studio couch! I have had a wolfhound and a great dane. But the pink definitely suits this sweet lady!

11.01.2022 Happy New Year

11.01.2022 The Magic of Photoshop As a photographer and an advocate for animals in general, safety is a priority. Not only to the animal I am working with, but also to my clients and myself. Let's face it, I have worked with 1000's of dogs over the last 12 years and yes I have been bitten once or twice, it comes with the territory. I also would never put any animal at risk especially of a choking hazard in my studio, in my home, not anywhere. Not ever under my watch so please res...t assured I don't have a dummy in my studio (ok maybe if my husband comes in whilst I'm photographing a client! but that's as far as it goes). As a photographer I am also an artist. A creative. I guess you could say I see things that could give a photograph interest and I have an interesting imagination and fabulous sense of humour. The great thing about photoshop is I can let my imagination run wild. And occasionally my clients give me that space to create. NEVER EVER WOULD I PUT ANY ANIMAL IN DANGER IN MY STUDIO (OR ANYWHERE FOR THAT MATTER). So I will leave the Before and the After Images here. You may not like my creative style and that's ok. But please, before you get mad at me, ask yourself "Did Diana wave her photoshop magic wand here or did she risk harming a dog". What do you think the answer will be? It will always be Photoshop. Di

10.01.2022 Who has had enough of 2020 and would just like to fast forward to Christmas?

10.01.2022 THIS SUNDAY, SOMETHING BIG IS COMING ....

08.01.2022 Bippy is bursting with love for this newest family member <3 Dogs have an astounding ability to sense change in the world around them, and that includes when their owner is pregnant. This shouldn’t be surprising. After all, dogs are excellent at reading human body language and behaviour. As a dog owner, you've come to realise over the years that your dog can read your moods. He knows when you’re sad (and responds by cheering you up) and he joins in the celebration when you’...re bursting with joy. When it comes to moods, you simply cannot fool your dog. So it seems only natural that dogs will sense the mood and behaviour changes that the woman of the house undergoes when she is pregnant. (excerpt from article on Pedigree.com)

03.01.2022 THE POWER OF THREE "Remember, whenever you're in a position to help someone, be glad and always do it because that's the Universe answering someone else's prayers through you" On Sunday evening I received a text message from Rob. He and his wife Sam are two of the nicest, most loving golden retriever breeders I know. He told me that one of his pups was born with a defect in one of her front paws. The vet seemed to think that the umbilical cord may have wrapped itself aroun...d the paw and stunted the growth. Rob asked if I knew anyone that would be willing to take her on. She would need someone that would be willing to take on the vet bills that she could need as she got older because under the circumstances, she most likely would never be able to get insurance. I text back and said leave it with me. Enter Sam and Emily. A couple I know really well who have been dreaming about a female golden retriever puppy. I called Sam and asked if they would like this opportunity and without hesitating, Sam said of course and I could hear Emily crying in the background. (Tears of joy obviously). They were so excited, Sam literally hung up then text me back half an hour later and said I've bought a bed. I said you haven't even seen her and nothing is written in stone yet LOL. Enter Anita T! Last year I met Anita and her gorgeous family and I remembered her telling me that she makes 3D printed prosthetics for animals. I sent her a text and asked if she would consider making a prosthetic for this puppy. She said OF COURSE!!!! and she would make one for her each time she grew out of it. So in less than an hour, between Sam, Anita and myself, one text message answered Rob's prayers. Rob brought little Peggy-Sue to the studio today to meet Sam and Emily and if all goes to plan, they should be able to take her home on the weekend. She will most likely be called Lucy.

02.01.2022 This session was so incredibly special and important to me. Lauren thank you for trusting me to capture this love that you and Barry share.

02.01.2022 Doesn't everyone? They ask me to tell them the story of how I came to adopt them

01.01.2022 Lenny takes wearing a mask very seriously. He even wears it to sleep. Is my Lenny a weirdo? The weirdest.
