Bella and Rosie worked together to find their missing person hiding inside her yard... and then worked on finding the cadaver hides.. never ceases to amaze us how these dogs can switch from one skill to another with ease.

21.01.2022 It's snake season Perth! Have you seen any sssslithering around your area? Bob Cooper Outback Survival has some vital tips on how to handle snake bites and e...ncounters when you're out and about this summer ? If you have room, remove yourself from the proximity of the snake as quickly or slowly as the situation dictates. If the snake is within striking distance (1/3rd of its length) remain perfectly still until the snake moves away. Don't make sudden movements Sudden weakness followed by collapse Shaking or twitching of muscles and difficulty blinking Vomiting Loss of bladder and bowel control Dilated pupils Paralysis Blood in urine ? Call triple-0 straight away Keep calm and stay completely still Don't wash the bite so the venom can be identified Have another person apply a firm compression bandage, moving upwards on the limb Mark the bite spot for doctors to identify Make a splint with something long and sturdy Don't elevate the limb above the heart, to help slow the spread of venom If you spot a snake on your property, call a snake handler to relocate it.

18.01.2022 Night Urban training tonight for both K9 Fern and K9 Rosie... a great track laid and both dogs did amazing.. first time for K9 Fern for tracking down an unknown tracklayer and she smashed it, even cut the track by 500m to get to the tracklayer quicker. K9 Rosie was spot on as per normal and stuck to the track accurately....

18.01.2022 Training today consisted of component exercises for all the dogs and handlers. These short burst exercises build and strengthen scenarios that we often come across during call outs...these being cross contamination of a scent article, no scent identification and same scent contamination.. So impressed with our K9’s, handlers and support personnel.... so a bit of fun at end was needed.. not to mention a puppuccino for the K9s

05.01.2022 Welcome to 2020... Our dogs and handlers have had a nice break from training and last night commenced the training for the year ahead... its always nice to get together after our sessions to debrief and to share a few laughs... we also had a special celebration for Karrens birthday and a yummy cake to share. K9 Rosie completed a 6 hour track to find her missing person chilling on a deck chair, and our young K9 Indie smashed through her track, showing so much promise in this little pocket rocket. K9 Bella has a ball as usual, with her handler trying to slow her down so the back up didnt need to run... All in all a great night to the start to 2020.

04.01.2022 Training today : K9 Fern, K9 Rosie and K9 Bella out in the bush today doing scent specific tracking to locate the missing person... no matter the weather conditions we are out there training for all types of situations... plus the dogs love tracking in the rain through the bush... check out K9 Rosie in one of the videos, the rain wasnt enough for her.. she had to find more water to lay in.. typical lab

04.01.2022 Today's training. Young Sage is starting to do longer and more difficult scent specific tracks, incorporating corners and different surfaces... two videos show her drive and eagerness to find the missing person. K9 Bella and K9 Rosie honed there's skills with Cadaver training.. incorporating building searches into it... which was lucky, as the rain started to come down...

03.01.2022 The younger dogs and their handlers have been busy throughout the week getting some tracks in... watch out for these two upcoming star Ps - one is of what a K9 trackers dog looks like after putting in the hard yards.

03.01.2022 Prayers are with them all for a safe return.

03.01.2022 You would of seen a few photos of our new young upcoming tracker-dog Fern, who is a red fox Labrador retriever. Watch how this young girl tracks, only a few months into it and she knows what this game is all about..... and she does it all for her favourite ball... this girl is a star.

02.01.2022 Continuous training throughout the K9s life is the key to success, with different scenarios and challenges thrown in...... today we focused on Cadaver (human remains detection) training for K9 Rosie and K9 Bella... putting the scent articles in a variety of locations and time delays... Of course K9 Bella loves to vocalize when she has found the scent source and K9 Rosie is coming along well with her scent indications.

02.01.2022 How AMAZING are our scent specific tracking dogs. We thought we would throw a big challenge to the K9s and handlers at tonight training session. The track was laid Friday lunch time, in that time we have had heavy rain and strong wind, the start was at the main entrance of Westfield Carousel, the tracklayer was an unknown person to the handlers and K9s.. So being nearly 3 days old, imagine all the hundreds if not thousands of people coming and going from that entrance durin...g that time... the challenge for the dogs is to discriminate the scent from all the other people at the entrance of the shop and locate and track the scent of the person we want them to find.. so we start the dogs by scenting them with a sock of the missing person... they now know who they need to find... all 3 dogs did NOT have a problem ... they tracked straight to the shopping centre entrance, located the scent they needed and off they went... WOW how truely amazing are these wonderful K9s.. Training in high volume scent areas allows our dogs to scent discriminate amongst hundreds of other human scents... and our dogs never let us down... Well done K9 Fern, the youngest and newest of our dogs in training... she smashed it, not only the longest time delay for her, but also the highest volume of scent... your a true star.. thought she may have a bit of an issue with the start, but she performed like she has been doing this work for years. Well done K9 Rosie (now known as Nosie Rosie), got the scent article, gave it a shake.. trotted through her water puddle and off she goes.. like no other scent was around. Well Done K9 Bella.. the grandma of the pack, was a breeze in the park for this old madam.. Thanks to our wonderful support person Rachel and our Tracklayer Rhiarn, without these guys our training scenarios would be near impossible See more

01.01.2022 This is what it looks like for a tracker dog to find you, after you walked away from somewhere 24 hours later....

01.01.2022 Todays training session saw us going north of the river... Indi, Rosie and Bella smashing out some tracks.
