25.01.2022 A milestone event this morning on the site of the New Kaiela Arts space in the SAM building. Pouring the special floor with design elements created by Kaiela Arts artists. Here we see the brass turtle by Frances Nicholson dissapearing under the cement mix...... All elements will re appear in a few weeks when the concrete is cut back.

25.01.2022 This position is an Aboriginal Identified Position and will support Aboriginal community members and artists at Kaiela Arts through these uncertain times with an emphasis on safety during community engagement with local Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal members and stakeholders. The COVID Safe Support Worker will liaise with community and support the Transition Coordinator in managing the relocation of our organisation to new premises at Shepparton Art Museum and support public ...events, develop and implement COVID safe practices when dealing with the public in our shop front and when delivering community based programs to members, visiting groups and outreach programs. 21.01.2022 Over the next 6 months, Kaiela Arts is moving to a new space in the new Shepparton Art Museum building. It is a purpose built premises, that we will be sharing with SAM, The Visitor Information Centre and other contractors but Kaiela Arts will still remain a strong, autonomous and independant art centre, dediated to local Aboriginal artists. During this time we are holding a 20% off relocation sale to lighten our load for the big move. This is the perfect time to come and have a look in store or online for an early Christmas present.

This person will work with Kaiela Arts’ Education coordinator in art program delivery and will support art tutors and educators to prepare digital and other Aboriginal Cultural Arts learning materials and resources for delivery though online platforms.
