18.01.2022 "The best artists and creators are the ones that would do what they do regardless of the outcome. They are not attached to what their creations will bring them. And much more focused on the magic of creation." The other day I did a ritual to send off my creation with a blessing. To reflect on the creative process itself and honour the journey I went on to birth the Kairos Earth Ritual into existence. I read and journalled about a certain passage from Rise Sister Rise, a beau...tiful book by Rebecca Campbell, where she encourages artists to create for the joy of creating and release the idea that we can control how it will be received. This is obviously harder than it sounds. After pouring my heart and soul into a creation, I would hope that it would be received well! But above that hope is a reverence for my creative process. I know in my heart that what I've created is perfect for me. It fills me right up and makes my heart SING! I know it may not be perfect for everyone, but I create first and foremost for ME. If it makes other hearts sing too, then we can all delight in this creation together! I'm beyond grateful for this journey and trust that my well of creativity will always be full as long as I bring my ideas to fruition. I'm now in the phase of celebrating the completion of this creation and savouring this feeling. Mm mm mmm it's certainly delicious! The Earth Ritual is now available for purchase! Woooooo! 10.01.2022 How often do you take yourself on a date? When was the last time you showed yourself soul nourishing love and appreciation? I know that even with my myriad of self care practices, I still need to find ways to explicitly show myself deep reverence.... I like to do things like get a haircut, splurge on a fancy meal, buy or pick a bouquet of flowers, or even purchase a {insert witchy object or self development workshop here}... But nothing quite gets the point across like a sacred ritual. An experience that's deeply personal, connecting with my tender heart. Just me and my rawness. A place where I can allow whatever needs to be expressed to come out unfiltered. Holding myself in my own company. This is why I created the Earth Ritual. Because I wanted to facilitate this experience for those who desire to connect more deeply with their souls. Self-connection is not a destination though. One can never be done connecting with their soul. It's an eternal devotional practice. So no matter where you are on your journey, I invite you to do a self love ritual this week for Valentine's Day.
