24.01.2022 A good salon leader has faith in their ability to train and develop their team. Because of this, they have the willingness to empower those they lead to act autonomously. This comes from trusting that their team members are fully up to any challenges they face. When employees are empowered, they are more likely to make decisions that are in the best interest of the salon and the clients as well. 22.01.2022 Change is inevitable, and this includes the change of our beliefs and perspectives. Learning never stops. If we don’t want to be a victim to our surrounding but be the creator of our lives, we need to question our beliefs and the way we look at the world.
18.01.2022 You know what you’ve been through better than anyone else, but sometimes, your ideas seem to get tangled in your mind, hungry for explanations, searching for meaning in everything your past self went through. None of us wants to feel that we wasted time on things that weren’t worth it instead of doing things that would have brought us more security and enjoyment. But when we are young, perhaps more naive, we often end up wasting some of the best years of our lives. Your pres...ent self, more wise and less naive, would tell you that those years are to be lived, not wasted on activities, people, and places that provide no benefit in the long run. What advice would you give to your 10 year old self?

15.01.2022 If I have to choose I'd rather be 20min early and go for a coffee first. In reality I try to be there a few minutes earlier. Being late is unacceptable. While that sounds harsh, it’s the truth and something that should be said more often. I don’t care if you’re attending a dinner party, a conference call, or a coffee meeting - your punctuality says a lot about you. My being late, which does occasionally happen, usually causes me to break out into a nervous sweat.

08.01.2022 As a leader, if you don’t have enthusiasm, others around you will not have it either. Leaders set examples for everyone, and if they exhibit enthusiasm, it becomes very contagious. Not only is genuine enthusiasm contagious, it can be seen and felt. People can tell when someone is smiling because they want to be or doing it because they have to. The main thing to remember is that enthusiasm is an essential ingredient because it is driven by passion and it is fueled by success.... 07.01.2022 With all that is going on in the world trust is becoming harder to build and maintain. No wonder clients are hesitant with where and how they spend their money. Trust is essential to firstly get clients to come to your salon, spa or clinic, spend money at yours, tell others about your great service and return again and again. Yet how do we build trust in today’s challenging world? I believe that trust is critical for success. We all love brands we can trust, they make us feel... comfortable and safe. And that’s what we need our clients to feel when they come into our salon. Trust is the foundation for everything we do. Authenticity, Rigour in logic and Empathy Focus on listening to your client and dig deep to uncover the problem they need fixing. As well as creating the right atmosphere is an excellent process to create empathy and build trust.
