22.01.2022 UPDATE: Fresh post for Sunday Eurobodallans! Our pals at NSW SES have issued a flood watch for the NSW South Coast. We can expect wet, windy and cold condition...s starting Friday and throughout the weekend, and theres potential for minor flooding of our rivers Clyde, Deua/Moruya, Tuross. SES recommends that people in areas that could be impacted by flooding: Stay up to date with information and follow warnings - listen to or follow NSW SES, local radio, BOM, Live Traffic. Consider collecting essentials in a waterproof bag: food, water, warm clothes, medications, valuables, important documents, toys for children in case you need to leave. Keep pets close by, always know where they are. Clean up yards and secure moveable objects such as trampolines, BBQs and outdoor furniture. Farmers and businesses are encouraged to move pumps, animals and equipment to higher ground in case roads close and organise for sufficient stock feed and water for your animals. Also move poisons, waste and chemicals to high storage locations. Builders and construction site managers are reminded to prepare sites before the rain, and monitor and manage sediment. Check on your family, friends and neighbours and share this information. Safety is your highest priority - never drive, walk or play in flood waters. For emergency help in floods and storms, call the NSW State Emergency Service on 132 500. In life threatening situations call triple zero (000) immediately. More info about the flood watch > https://www.ses.nsw.gov.au/f/flood-watch-1-nsw-south-coast/

20.01.2022 WE HAVE NOW BEEN ADOPTED !!!!! B O N D E D P A I R Ruby & Frankie... Ruby and Frankie were surrendered to the shelter when their owner could sadly no longer look after them. They are currently our ONLY animals available for adoption at the shelter Ruby is a 9.5 year old Labrador & Frankie is a 9 year old Labrador x Ridgeback. They have been together their whole lives and love each other so much. Whatever one is up to, the other is not far behind. They bring so much joy and comfort to one another We always find it much harder to rehome pairs, they tend to stay in the shelter a lot longer than if we had of decided to rehome them individually hence why we dont do it often. Despite this we truly believe that it is in both of their best interests to keep them together, if able to, and hope the perfect family who is willing to take both of them on is out there somewhere This beautiful pair have now been available for adoption for over 25 days with very little interest They are both super affectionate, gentle and love cuddles Despite their mature age they are still very spritely and playful - they are definitely young at heart They LOVE LOVE LOVE toys They are very food motivated and know how to sit, stay, shake hands and come They are house trained and have happily lived with kids. They havent got to be able to go on many walkies in their last home but LOVE them so much, they get super excited and do pull on the lead so are best walked in harnesses Fire works and thunder is really scary so a safe place inside during these events is a must They will alert you if an intruder is near Ruby is social with other dogs, Frankie is not so keen. A home with no other dogs but plenty of socialization is a must. They are not suited to a home with kitty cats Do you have space in your heart and home for this beautiful duo?! Ruby and Frankie are $120 to adopt plus lifetime registration fees.
