25.01.2022 2017 was a challenging year to say the least, fighting through injury upon injury and rising each time to get stronger and fitter. Amongst that were challenges that came with starting a new business, while maintaining a healthy social and personal life. I’m proud to say I came out of it in one piece and a better human for it! 15.01.2022 **REHAB UPDATE** Week 3/4 of rehab programming with Block Pulls on the menu. Key to this exercise is to: 1Limit the range of motion of a standard deadlift in order to eliminate the risk of further aggravating the lower back while it’s in recovery mode. ... 2Place emphasis on the mid and upper back. 3Build foundation strength to transition back into heavier weights. These can be effectively performed in a power rack with the safety bars set just below knee level or like I have here, use a makeshift block by stacking some 25kg plates. This is me performing the last set of 4x8 @110kg. 11.01.2022 Training is full of challenges and setbacks, it can potentially be the difference between succeeding or failing. The last couple of weeks has been rough, unable to train normally due to injuries. One being a neck/trap strain and the other, aggravating a disc in my lower back (mainly due to my own stupidity). Not being able to train, I took the down time from the gym as an opportunity to dial in my nutrition a bit more. It's fair to say some solid progress has been made!
