10.01.2022 If you’ve been itching to do some ELR or Tactical Shooting and want to escape the normal range environment, one of our good customers has just sent us a report on the Nioka Range north of Gunnedah and it looks the goods... "We all camped on site at a cost of $20 per person per night. Facilities include long drop toilets, a shower, fire pit an under cover area and most importantly a range that goes out to 1 mile. With me I bought a Vudoo Gunworks .22LR and a Stiller TAC30 6.5x...47 Lapua. Over the course of the weekend I got some good practice in with my .22LR right out to 400m and then putting my 6.5x47 Lap to work with multiple hits at a mile. Early Sunday morning I got up early to beat the mirrage so I could spot impacts. After a practice at 1000m with my 6.5 I pushed out to a mile and after a number of rounds I managed to get 2 consecutive hits at 1 mile. Unfortunately the magneto speed hit indicator was not functioning so the other two impacts were not spotted until going down to re paint the target. There were only a few impacts that wre not spotted, these all occurred in close succession to confirmed impacts. This was my first time shooting this distance with this rifle. Excluding the basic marksmanship principals coverd by all soldiers in basic training I have had no formal training in long range or any other form of shooting. With good equipment, reaserch and most importantly practice, I believe this can be accomplished by anyone." For bookings call the Nioka Range on (02) 67433530

06.01.2022 I can’t tell you how good it was to be back having a crack at those pesky little flies. SSAA Brisbane’s first 500 Fly shoot since March 2020.
