24.01.2022 As initially announced on 27 March 2020, Italy was confirmed as the host country of the 2021 FIM Rally. The event, which should have originally taken place from 24 to 26 June 2020 in Foligno, and was postponed due to the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic will now be held in Soverato (CZ) from 2 to 4 June 2021. 23.01.2022 Stage 2 of the 2021 Dakar 04 January 2021, Bisha to Wadi Ad-Dawsir did not disappoint race fans. Australian Toby won Stage 1 which awarded him the first bike to leave on Stage 2. Most of the Stage was Sand, with sections of small Terre and Dunes. 23.01.2022 Victorian Motocross Grading Open 2021 The 2020 Motocross season in Victoria has been challenging to say the least and the Victorian Motocross Committee did what... they could to get the junior series completed, and a senior series off the ground. However, the Committee was unable to do so within the Victorian Sports COVID-19 Guidelines. The Committee is aware that for riders competing in their final appearance in a class 2020 has been a devastating blow. Due to the limited racing events and COVID-19, it would be unfair to complete any Motocross Grading this year. To combat this, the Victorian Motocross Committee will be holding a stand-a-lone Motocross Grading event in early 2021 as long as Victorian Sports COVID-19 Guidelines can be met. This grading event will be unique, the 2021 STEP UP OPEN. This event will offer all riders the opportunity to step up one grade and allowing the grading committee to witness the ability of a rider in the grade they think they are suited for, and racing in that grade. This event will cater only for those wanting to be placed into either A or B Grade. However, the event will also need riders who are already graded as A or B grade to enter to create a racing field contrast. If you think you are ready to move up a grade, come along and give it your best shot. 2021 STEP UP OPEN 13/14 FEBRUARY WONTHAGGI Due to the format being around GRADING, there will be NO 50cc, C Grade or VETS races. CLASSES JUNIORS: 65, 85sw, 85bw, 125 and 250. SENIOR: MX1, MX2 & LADIES # All 2020 A Grade Juniors stepping up to Seniors in 2021 will all race B Grade in their first year. But we encourage you to race this event and test yourself against the current B Grade Seniors and make those wanting to be graded work for it.

20.01.2022 The Alice Springs Motor Cycle club would like to express our heart felt sympathy's to the family and friends on the passing of past finke King of the Desert an...d all round champion Jason Hill. Many of us have very fond memories of Jasons abilities to hold it on!! The original king of Airtime! He was that guy that loved to hit the dunes down the Finke track 5th gear pinned!!! Ive personaly seeen him jump the back straight ski jump at Ilparpa and land at the base of the berm! The great Stephen Gall was qouted many years ago saying that Jason had what it takes to win the "Mr Motocross" series if he could just back it off 1 tenth! Jason spent many years here in Alice with work and motorbikes. He will be missed terribly by all that knew him. RIP Champion. The comittee and members of the ASMCC

17.01.2022 BORDER FARCE - UPDATE By 2pm tomorrow (Monday) the NSW Government will define a NSW-Victoria border zone area. If your postcode falls within that zone, you can... cross the border to a Victorian area within that zone for essential work, education or medical services, without having to self-isolate in return. Keep an eye out on this site: https://www.service.nsw.gov.au//apply-covid-19-nsw-border- New restrictions will begin Tuesday - if you need to travel from Tuesday onwards youll sadly need to apply for a new permit - even if you already have one. Of course, the big problem is for those who need to travel beyond the border zone regularly for essential reasons. Ive been contacted by a cancer patient from outside the zone who needs to make weekly trips to Victoria for essential treatment. Ive been contacted by school students who need to attend their school in Shepparton every day. These people obviously cant self isolate for 14 days every time they return home. The NSW Government- Gladys Berejiklian, John Barilaro and Steph Cooke MP - have left these people in limbo. Ive been pushing very hard for such cases to be recognised in the new arrangements and will keep you updated. Id love to be able to reassure you now but once again Gladys has made decisions whilst forgetting that people live west of the blue mountains. Health Minister Brad Hazzard seems to think Albury is the only border town in NSW - email him at [email protected] to let him know your circumstances and the need for flexibility.

06.01.2022 The committee of the Hattah Desert Race has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Penrite Hattah Desert Race, scheduled to run from 3-5 July 2020. In light of the global pandemic and the implications it has for large gatherings, and closed borders across the country, the decision, though deeply disappointing, is necessary. At an extraordinary Committee meeting last night, the Committee looked at all possible options, including moving the date to August, however without a crystal ball on what this pandemic will look like, this tough decision was made. 01.01.2022 I remember seeing Dylan ride on an 85 at the Junior World Motocross Championships in New Zealand back in 2009. Man, he was fast, he was the won to beat, but a crash in the warm-up lap would be it, a broken arm, he was out of the Championship leaving the door wide open for an Aussie to win. Jay Wilson became the first Aussie to win a World Motocross Championship with Dylan Long in second place. What I am trying to point out, Fernadis always went full biscuit, did whatever he could to win and he was the only rider to beat Herlings far and square on a 250 because he does what he can to win. The move on Christain Craig was a d!ck move, impenitence and inexperience at Supercross racing. Ferandis has an awesome style, even practising the Yammy sounds mint, yay to Supercross racing this weekend.
