25.01.2022 Gremlins were in the café today and made a few changes to our layout. Two cosy corners to sit back and relax, a more comfortable dining space was created, and to top it all off, a new menu too! A big thank you to our Gremlins: Anke, Kobus, Serine, Blaise and Darcie. We so appreciate the sacrifice of your own time to help us out this morning.

22.01.2022 It is with terrible sadness and despair that we inform our customers that there was a fire that started in our kitchen at the cafe at about 11:30 last night that has gutted our kitchen and left extensive damage. We will know the severity of the damage in the morning and will advise further once we know more.

13.01.2022 Week 1 done ... And now the hard work begins. We are overwhelmed by the response from customers, acquaintances and friends. Special thanks to: Serine, Juan-re & Anke who pitched in to help pack crates. To Brian Ford who came around every day to see whether he could help and proceeded to organize a trailer and helped load and unload crates today. To Chaleen Botha who provided us with a meal and to Kay for all her hard work today packing and carrying heavy crates. And finally to Blaise who worked like a robotic machine, thanks love. There are not enough words to express our heartfelt thanks to one and all.

13.01.2022 UPDATE: Unfortunately damage is far more extensive than we originally thought and therefore we will be closed until further notice. The fire inspectors spent 2 hours this morning trying to pinpoint the source of the fire which definitely originated in the kitchen, but they were unable to ascertain conclusive information of an ignition point. Thank you to everyone for your kind words and encouragement. Your love and support for our 'Home from Home' is greatly appreciated.
