04.01.2022 https://vimeo.com/482943535 Mandatory Contact Registers for certain businesses and venues: From 5 December the following businesses must maintain a contact register: - food and licensed venues (restaurants, cafés, bars, pubs, taverns, nightclubs) -gyms, indoor sporting centres and pools... -places of worship, and funeral parlours -beauty and personal care services including hairdressers and -barbers -galleries and museums -cinemas, theatres and other entertainment venues -auction houses and real estate inspections -community facilities, libraries and halls -zoos and amusement parks - function centres -accommodation facilities that already have check-in arrangements in place (i.e. hostels, hotels, large camp grounds). Details required are location, date, name, telephone number and arrival time. Email addresses are optional. You must: -keep contact details for 28 days -store the information confidentially and securely You have the right to deny entry to anyone who refuses to provide their contact information. The Government has developed a SafeWA App for businesses, venues and their patrons. The app which is available through your app store, will allow businesses and patrons to register their details. Businesses and venues will be emailed a poster with a QR code embedded for display at their premises and patrons can scan the QR code and the app will register their details. For customers or patrons who do not use the app, businesses will have to maintain a written register with the required details.
