23.01.2022 There is a perception that Mens Shed is just for old men. Mens Shed has a lot of younger blokes who have time on their hands and are looking for something to do and some companionship.

18.01.2022 At the monthly meeting of the Kalamunda Mens Shed on the 22nd February, 2019 Matthew Hughes, Member for Kalamunda, presented a facsimile cheque for $298,000 to Chairman John Baxter being the amount Lotterywest is supporting the establishment of the new woodworking shed. This funding was applied for in April 2018 following on from detailed planning and design from the Shed Development Committee. Seed funding for the new Shed came from the Rotary Club of Kalamunda, the City of... Kalamunda, Department of Veterans Affairs and members of the Shed. Chairman John introduced Matthew who spoke of the assistance the Mens Shed had toward mens health in general and congratulated the members on their endeavours getting the new shed to assist in accommodating expanded numbers of woodworkers and at the same time allowing the metal working group to expand into the space vacated in the current Shed. Following the presentation Cr John Giardini congratulated the Kalamunda Mens Shed on the contribution members made to the community and commented on the excellent relationships that exist between the City and the Mens Shed. The meeting closed with an opportunity to talk to our guests enjoy a drink and sausage sizzle.

11.01.2022 Here's Murray our Monday "Shed Boss" who has been making Bee Hotels, well what are they? Bee hotels, also called nests or houses, are a great way to attract pollinators to your family's flower or vegetable garden. Bee hotels are places for solitary bees to make their nests.

10.01.2022 To celebrate WA Seniors Week Kalamunda Mens Shed is having and open day on Friday 16th November between 10am and 3pm. Come along and meet some of the "Shedders" and maybe try your hand at some woodwork or metalwork. Light refreshments will be available.

05.01.2022 Kalamunda Mens Shed are running a Sausage Sizzle on Saturday 24 November at the Guardian Pharmacy 241 Lesmurdie Road from 10am to 12.30pm. Cost is a gold coin donation. Come along and enjoy some hospitality and support Kalamunda Mens Shed

05.01.2022 It is with regret that it is now necessary for Kalamunda Men’s Shed to accept the consequences of the COVID-19 virus for our cohort and close our doors for the time being. Our Committee of Management will be monitoring the situation and will make every effort to open the Shed again as soon as possible.
