25.01.2022 To celebrate all that our club offers, and bring in the New Year with a bang, our annual RangerBALL carnival is on again. Formerly known as ManBALL, RangerBALL is Teeball, played on a Baseball diamond, using a Softball. Registrations close 17 December, at which time everyone's name gets put into a hat and teams are created from a random draw - what a great way to meet new people from the club from the different divisions. ... Register online at https://www.registernow.com.au/secure/Register.aspx?E=41700 Cost is $10 per player and there is the option to purchase a shirt at the same time ($35). Because of the random draw, players are unable to purchase specific colours. Bring your family, bring your friends, and come and celebrate with us.

25.01.2022 Thank you to @loubonomi for coming down to our clubs rooms last week lead another umpiring clinic. It was great to see members from Rangers, Roleystone and Vic Park come down to learn the rules of the game. #communitysports #baseballumpireswa

25.01.2022 What a great turnout to recognise one of our longest serving and playing members. Travis Wright has been at Kalamunda Rangers for 24 years and, in that time has participated in over 400 games. He first joined the committee as Baseball Vice President in 2009-2010 at the ripe old age of 19 and after a bit of a baptism by budgets, he stuck around and continued to work, twice receiving the Club Person of the Year recognition and Life Membership in 2017. He is well known aroun...d the club for his frequent need of a haircut [sorry - Ed], being a fanatical Dockers supporter and maker of slap videos, amongst others - we'd love to have see some of your memories of Travis through the years in the comments. Congrats, Travis. Here's to the next 400 games!

24.01.2022 ***Sponsor Shout Out*** Hawaiian's Forrestfield has been a great sponsor for our club, currently in our 2nd year of partnership the representatives have helped organise prizes for our large fundraisers including the Disney Quiz Night, sausage sizzle and Breast Cancer weekend. Their banner was the next to be added to our home run fence on Andy Maher field. ... Thank you Hawaiians for their support of our club

24.01.2022 Ever wondered why a scorebook as some runs coloured in green and others are red? [Hint: It's not just to make the book look pretty.] Here's your chance to find out in the WABSSA online miniclinic. Clinic details, and preseason news and info from the baseball scorers' committee in this seasons first edition of On The Page.

24.01.2022 We're on the lookout for a Miracle Worker. We're lucky to have someone who is able to coordinate all the stock control and is available to manage the bar and canteen for Sunday games and Thursday night dinners. However, we need someone who can oversee the general operations in the canteen every Saturday morning, as well as some Saturday afternoons/Monday evenings (subject to fixtures). ... Do you know someone at a loose end during these times? Oh, and because we know the effort that goes with this role, we're happy to say 'thank you' in the form of an honorarium. If you, or someone you know, are interested in taking on the role of Canteen Supervisor, please contact our GM on 0490 145 776.

23.01.2022 Grab a deal with these helmets. 21.01.2022 A message from our GM: Every year we get the same request (well, truth be told, we get 100s of requests): Jimmy has to play in the same team as Jenny. And the requests come from players of all ages, whether they're 4 or ?4. Yet, if we honoured every request, we'd have 5 teams of 30 players and everyone would be lucky to play one inning every week. I don't know about you, but I wanna play ball as much as I can. ... While our committee makes every effort to accommodate requests for team/player placement, we cannot - and will not - guarantee it. We're restricted not just by by logistics, but there are whole lot of other factors that need to be taken into account when teams are created - affiliation rules, club bylaws, level of competition... the list goes on [oh, yeah - you also agree to these conditions when you sign up]. It's not an easy task so please don't get nasty, or abusive, or threatening. We do the best we can to make this an enjoyable season for Let's go and play ball!
