23.01.2022 Hey Sunday you got me real good! A casual trip to the shops to grab some fruit turned into a mammoth meltdown where Mr (almost) 3 is pleading for snacks and Mr 18months is screaming as he is unable to share them with his big brother or choose something from the shelves! And this happens every day, in every place, and in too many circumstances to count. Our lives revolve so heavily around food, eating it, sharing it, even playing and exploring it - every celebration, get tog...ether, movie night, everything involves food and holey moley it's getting so hard for us to continually manage! For anyone following along Tucker has CSID (Google it , it's a long one ) My heart breaks a little more each and every day and today as I growl at Banjo for wanting more food and I watch Tucker's tears roll down his cheek my heart finally shatters, cue #mummymeltdown ! The #mumguilt is beyond compare at the moment as giving myself to hubby, the boys and this biz whilst managing sleeplessness, toddler tantrums, and Tucker's special needs is tipping me around like two elephants on a see saw! So I'm going to turn to my trusty friend @officialblueytv for a mini marathon for the boys whilst I curl up, take some nice deep breaths and tune out for the rest of the arvo! 20.01.2022 Holey guacamole it's a steamy one up here in NQ today Today I was out of the studio and instead on a property with my Dad lotting up a vintage machinery auction #SomethingALittleDifferent Hence I was inspired to create a reel showcasing my favourite ever water bottle, my Montii! God I bloody love her! She does it all - warm on a winter nights #HardToImagineRightNow yet cool as a cucumber, easy to keep fresh and clean (like every single part), holds all the stuff you need,... environmentally friendly and even looks pretty as a peach! She really does have it all! #TooGoodToBeTrue Save this post for the next time you find yourself trying to clean mould from your plastic water bottle or drink some hot water from your straw and remember you don't have to live with that, instead you can get a Montii!

14.01.2022 Sending sunshine and strength to you today and everyday! @ruokday is a superb reminder to forget that to-do list and jump on the blower, smile in the street, send off a card, grab a coffee with a mate, leave a note on their socials or do whatever you can to check in and don't be afraid to ask the 3 words that can change a life, R U OK? #ruok? Over share ahead, many of us have our own mental health story, me included - After being prescribed every asthma puffer on the... shelf for breathing difficulty with not one working, I was eventually diagnosed with anxiety at 16! I wasn't sad, missing confidence, lonely (the things I thought anxiety and depression looked like), in fact I was quite the opposite, so I didn't know how or why I could have it, all I knew was I had a constant crushing pain on my chest! I wasn't medicated back then and found ways to manage it well enough through great mates and a lot of sport and I was able to keep it at bay.. until having babies! Woah Mumma did that change things! This once happy, bubbly girl had turned into a screaming, crying, fatigued erratic monster who was constantly chanting 'I am not enough' and truly believed I never would be! Luckily I knew I needed help and best get to my GP, I did need a good kick from my husband though, but I was able to get help easily (and if you are reading and nodding, don't worry so can you!) I was, and still am, medicated for #postnataldepression and #anxiety in combination with counseling provided by the amazing team at @gidgetfoundation and have not an ounce of hesitation in sharing that! I remember joking with a beautiful Mum of a mate about how batsh*t crazy she is (in the best of ways) and she jokingly said imagine if I wasn't medicated to which I responded 'hey me too' and we then went on to chat which tablets we are on and how we are finding them, just like a wine review! It was effortless and unforgettable and went a long way to me finally being OK! So friend you are absolutely not alone, you are so loved and if you answered 'no' to the important 3 worded question above that is OK! 02.01.2022 A story or two just didn't cut it today as I had SO much to let you in on! Here's a recap 1. Our usual bi-monthly restock is happening a little earlier and will be brought forward to THIS FRIDAY to accommodate Mothers Day orders and postage delays. 2. I had a thought about what a killer gift a Kaleido Kommunity membership for Mothers Day would be, the gift that keeps giving and gives back too! I had not planned this but hey lets be spontaneous!! Coming up is an incredibly talented artist who is passionate about art for the mind and getting everyone from beginners to experts back in to painting, also we have our favourite photographer( who has already given us some superb tips and tricks in phone photography and getting you in to those albums as part of the Kaleido Kommunity launch) but she will be back to talk more about her small biz, life and love of photography. 02.01.2022 Today during our 753rd DIY project, or maybe 754th.. man I've lost count we have smashed out so stinking many, it got us a'thinking about the many, many, maaany times we have shifted the look, location and logistics of the store! So we thought let's play 2 truths and 1 fib! Can you guess what the fib is about our store over the years? 1. A cyclone ripped through our town and flooded our store and all stock.... 2. We found a stray kitten out the front of the store and she stayed as our Kaleido store pet. 3. We had a fire next door to our store and we were stranded outside unable to rescue our stock.
