23.01.2022 I'm finally sharing my word for the year: FIRE! For some reason I've had lots of personal resistance to my word, so I know its definitely the right word for me! I've been wrestling with this word for many months, long before the fires in Australia, and I apologise if you have experienced devastation by fire, I do not mean to trigger. 22.01.2022 The number one thing to do during the current event that is happening, is: manage your health and wellbeing and care for the health and wellbeing of others. For many of us, everything else can wait. No competing, no comparing, no hustling, no having to feel amazing all the time. It's OK to be sad, scared, tired, irritable, angry, unmotivated... one day at a time. We are all grieving. We have all lost something. We have all gone through difficult times before and this too shall end. Hang in there. And - It's OK to ask for help and support -

16.01.2022 I've titled this art journal page "When the trees have wings again" My art process: my background was about wanting to glimpse into the future, yellow, pink and blue spray inks. I was glad when I saw such bright colours, this reminded me what is here and now, (this new normal, which feels grey and black) isn't here to stay forever, this is a season. Then I wanted to depict my now, to honour this space of grieving for what I have losses such as work, routine, friendships and f...amily face to face, church community, uni classes, Easter traditions... these seemed to live in my mind as trees, no foliage but full of roots. Then I just felt that these trees were pregnant with butterflies! I didn't judge this thought, just honoured them on the page.
