20.01.2022 Wow been a while... bloody busy trying to organise everything, get contractors to do their work and find time to keep our upgrade on target... We have finally got the concrete slab completed and what a fabulous job Desert Concreting has done and how very happy we are with the end result... This has been possible in part with the very generous grant from our team at the West Australian Pistol Association... All of the existing pieces of various cementing done over many years h...as been removed and one big concrete slab has completely covered the area of range 1 up to range 2 including an expansion to the back of range 2 giving much more room in there... Now we have the foundation at last to build on, so it will be full steam ahead on range 1 from now to the end of our window with the grants... I need everyone of our members to now make this upgrade a priority and to give as much time as you can to this project, the rewards for all of us will be fantastic.... My vision is to be included into the WAPA rounds every year and for us here in Kalgoorlie to hold events for all WA to come to... See more

20.01.2022 I hope everyone had a wonderfull christmas and your New Year is going well... Today is the day we take stock of the reality that we live in the greatest country on mother earth... Australia Day, let yourself relax and enjoy the day... We had a fabulous day at the club and achieved an enormous amount of progress, check out the photo's, but the greatest surprise was to see that Paul , Montell, and Terry had been down and finished off the roofing... WOW what a bloody good sight ...to see... So now all of our individual shooting bays for range 1 are finished with the panelling on the sides and the top all in place... Special thanks today to Jeff, Kyle, and Jess from Eagle Petroleum, not yet members, but were a wonderfull help in getting so much done this morning just finishing off the panels with all of the heavy lifting... great job from a great family, thanks heaps.... 19.01.2022 Hey there Shistolpotters.... Ho Ho Ho and a Happy New Year to everyone... I hope you all had a chance to get a shot away, and ova indulge in food as I did but hey what is Christmas for if not to enjoy!!!! Sooooooo things are progressing very smoothly at the club, still getting plenty of interest from people... The inside of the club is almost finished and back to normal, it has taken us 2 years to fix what they destroyed in a matter of hours, I so want to take a nail gun to t...he penis of those mongrels... To all of our members and non members who keep showing up at the busy bee's, give yourselves a big hug from me... Everything we could see and visualise, everything we hoped to achieve is all coming together because you believed we could do it, and look at where we are now... FUKIN AWESOME ... We have completely dismantled range 1 !!!!!! What you say now !!!! Yes we are starting with a blank canvas and making range one similar to Cockburn Freemantle range, thanks to their wonderfull support with all of the plans and drawings they gave us... Allready the posts are up and all ranges are going to be much wider inside and all ranges will have just 1 common entry door giving us more security.... 14.01.2022 We regret that we have decided that due to the COVID-19 we will not be allowing any new shooters to the club until we have been advised it is safe to do so. That includes the air pistol range and outdoor range. The health of everybody is the number one concern at this time. As soon as the virus threat has subsided we will let you know. 13.01.2022 Top job last weekend from all members who turned up... special thanks to Paul, you make the job so much easier mate your a bloody champ... We can now get some real progress happening, all of the ground work is done so we need to keep at the structural side of things now... Looking bloody good now folks... Check out the steel roof frames that Paul was putting together with the awesome help from Mark, Steve, Mick, Ray, Dillon and Danny... 10.01.2022 So its been a while I know and I do apologise for the lack of info being put up... my work is demanding far more of my time than the bus driving did.... Over the last few weeks there has been major improvements to the renovations of our ranges... Now seeing what once we could only imagine, it's bloody exciting stuff... WOW any of our older members that have moved away, please come have a look at where we are going... The upgrade on range 1 is going to be bloody awesome and a... far cry from what we had... At the moment all of the timber frame and rusted roofing has been removed and replaced with steel frame and NEW iron... Woopy Do.... lookin pretty sexy I must say... It may be hard to see but all 6 of the bay walls are up, 3 of the bays have roof over them and all of the back wall is completed in new iron... Our undercover is much larger with the back wall taken out to give plenty room behind the shooters... Range 1 with the 75mm panels both sides and the top will quieten down the sound from the range... I wish to send out a special thank you to ... Mick, Ben and Zack... these 3 men have been an enormous help during our busy bee's, even when hungova!!!! hahahahaha ... and the wonderfull part is they arn't even members... well done men your help is very much appreciated... 08.01.2022 Well shooters I have been at this project to upgrade and reopen our 50yrd range at the club for 12yrs ( 2008 we were closed ) and I cant believe that everything I visualised it to be, has manifested into such a magnificent reality... WOW... Had our AGM last weekend and had lots to say about our very slow progress, then Mick Fewing, one member, put his hand up and offered to put in after work every afternoon, George and Dylan Hughs ( neither are members ) also agreed to help ...out and I have decided to retire untill I get this finished... In just 7 days the progress has been remarkable, check out the photo's... We have a very positive finish line not far away and everything we need to get there is on hand allready. The task that was set for us 12yrs ago seem'd insurmountable, but sheer anger and determination has beaten their objective... As a club we are nothing without the help of the wonderfull people at the Kalgoorlie council and the staff of angels at the Dept of Sport and Rec... Thanks so much from all of us at the KBPC... I will be hiring the Tele Handler again for next Sat so I need some starters to assist and get the last lot of Form Ply up on the second Baffle, please call me if you are available... 05.01.2022 Last Saturday 8th Feb, we had the Kalgoorlie Expo where the KBCCI make the St Barbara's Sq available for any organisation to put up a stand and promote their activity... Firstly let me say a huge thank you to KBCCI for including us in this opportunity, the display we set up attracted a lot of interest and as Sunday is a shoot day the follow up next day was very encouraging... I am posting some photo's of both days and for Christ sake allow me some intelligence when loo...king at the photo's, ALL pistols shown are bloody REPLICA pistols, to give people a more realistic feel of what we have to offer and just what a pistol feels like for weight and size... YES regardless of what lies you may have heard apparently SIZE... DOES... MATTA... hahahahahahahahaha.... Oh I know.. lord take me now... The people and questions where constant all morning and our display was much enhanced by the very professional accessories supplied by our great friends at WAPA, They provided us with the flags, posters, stubbie holders, drink bottles and pamphlets that showed everyone just what sort of support our affiliated body is prepared to give us to help promote our sport and our club here in Kalgoorlie... Thank you so much to all of our team at WAPA... Next weekend is a busy bee, so lets... get it done... we are in need of many hands and it is now on the down hill run with everything looking bloody fantastic... The club room is finally finished with all of the devastation from the vandals finally repaired, range 1 looking like Cockburns ranges ( thanks again to all of you wonderfull folks ) our new concrete flooring ( thanks to the support from our friends at WAPA ) and our new steel structure and all new roofing thanks to the support from the Kalgoorlie Boulder Council and my beautifull friends at Sport and Rec... 03.01.2022 WOO.. HOO !!!! We have been given the green light from the police and WAPA to open the ranges but keeping the restrictions appropriate for gatherings.... We may have to limit 6 at a time shooting and others in the club waiting... So let's all get together on this Sunday and send some lead down range....

03.01.2022 Well folks its getting closer every week to the finish line with range 1... We need a more serious effort to get hands on deck as we are now at a point where it's heavy lifting and setting up... Once we get the first target frame up it will be all straight sailing from there... Got 4 of the wheels welded to the frame today, will need the forks next to move the big bastards around into position for access to the next 4 wheels... Spent time to look at some of our history pics a...nd it was awesome to see what an active club we have been, it is my intention to get it back to that level with barbies and some fun nights.... We need to look to the future and start putting teams together so we can go off to comps at other clubs and get the experience and knowledge we need for the future...
