25.01.2022 Lovely cool morning for it down here! Mic was here last week and knocked out a couple of hooks before lunch and then continued into making his first knife! Great work!

22.01.2022 Pretty cool this morning, no total fire ban, so forges are lit and steel is in the fire!

20.01.2022 It has been decided to separate the Kalgoorlie Boulder Artisan Blacksmiths from the Blacksmiths’ Association of WA to allow both groups to focus all their attention on their branch. We thank the Blacksmiths’ Association, the Presidents past and present, as well as the committee and general members for their assistance in establishing our Forge. Any Inquiries for Kalgoorlie Boulder Artisan Blacksmiths Inc please message the Kalgoorlie Boulder Artisan Blacksmiths page.... 20.01.2022 We will be open this evening even tho it's HOT! So bring plenty of water (or other fluids!) Might be a bit earlier close this evening if we're too hot to continue! We also have some upcoming beginner workshops as the weather cools down in March and beyond - so keep an eye out in the next couple of weeks for booking to open if you're interested.

19.01.2022 A Total Fire Ban has been declared for tomorrow so we will NOT be down forging. Just a reminder that for the rest of January we will be opening both Friday evenings and Sundays - unless there's a Ban! So hopefully some forging can still get done :)

Our hosts the Golden Mile Loopline Railway Society Inc - Kalgoorlie Boulder WA Australia are allowing us to open for forging Friday evenings in January. Open to all members or prospective members 5:30pm - 8:30pm each Friday in Jan. Chuck us a message if you require more information!

10.01.2022 Just a reminder about this tomorrow, and a huge thanks to Kalgoorlie Case & Drill Pty Ltd for helping us out with safety glasses to ensure no one misses out! We'll keep an eye on the total fire bans, but it's looking a little cooler than today so none called yet!

03.01.2022 Unfortunately due to an insurance issue we're having a couple of weeks off while hopefully the association sorts it out. We will not be blacksmithing this coming Sunday as it is also Fathers Day, so I hope all the fathers out there have a good one. We are hoping to have something in place within the next couple of weeks.... Pic for attention, Gordon likes to make toolbox knives when he finds tools lying around, so if you're missing a 14mm Allen key let him know....
