06.01.2022 Keen community and school gardeners from across Bendigo came together last month for a morning of conversation, learning and networking at the inaugural Seeds t...o Success workshop, put together by our friends at Kalianna School Bendigo and Healthy Greater Bendigo We were thrilled to be part of the day, presenting to attendees on the work of Bendigo Foodshare, our story, and how those gathered can get involved in our community projects including YouFoods and Grow A Row, Pick A Branch. We have a number of schools, groups and community members who grow and donate produce to us for food relief - becoming a great learning resource for schools and ensuring harvests don't go to waste. This is part of our commitment to work at a community level to build food capacity, skills and connection - empowering people to see that food is for all. There was a real buzz in the room at the event as people shared the challenges of running and managing a garden in their setting, but the overwhelming benefits that come from growing, cooking and sharing projects in the school and community setting. We can't wait to see what's to come from this event in the future!
