25.01.2022 Parap Apartments Village Parap design and construct project sits on a 9,000 m2 site in the inner city suburb of Parap, Darwin and consists of 5 x four story buildings totaling 100 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments with secure underground basement car parking for 200 vehicles and a centrally located ground level open urbane finished podium of approximately 1600m2. All apartments constructed achieved a NABERS rating of * 6 * or above. Due to development taking entire site and invol...ving 5 separate accommodation towers the structural design solution was made to provide the ability to segment the construction of the structures to maintain crane access throughout the entire construction period including the transfer of loads from each tower without the transfer structure being complete. It was also necessary to construct the podium slab to carry high loads and stiffness characteristics, due to the loading bay being located at the podium level. 21.01.2022 Jepun Kalidonis commenced the concrete structures package for this 48 apartments project in the heart of Darwin CBD. In 2014, GRD Group and Kalidonis Pty Ltd successfully completed this project, a twin-tower building with a revolutionary car park system installed at the basement.... The building is facing Smith St Mall, with banks, offices and shops just minutes away.

18.01.2022 Darwin Federal Police Building The project involved the Design and Construction of a five star green star rated, two level administration building including car park, access and services. The building has been designed to provide environmentally sustainable performance parameters within the Northern Territorys tropical environment. A key focus of the project is the attention to comprehensive security provisions through the building fabric, external fencing, lighting, road ...access and barrier controls. Security functions and building environmental management are all controlled through a comprehensive Building Management and Control System. A key aspect of the successful project management has been the attention to communication protocols and client management as the project requires complex inputs from both the Northern Territory Airports team as well as the Australian Federal Police property team. The Darwin facility is the first of a national roll out of regional administration buildings for the Australian Federal Police. The project procurement strategies and lessons learned from the Darwin Airport building will be formalised within a national procurement programme. Project value $7.93 million Completed August 2011

In the package was included formwork, concrete place and finish and place reinforcement for 5 buildings, 3-storey tall. 13.01.2022 Leanyer Water Park February 2008 The vision for the Leanyer Recreation Park project was to create a facility in a natural environment that will provide the Darwin community with diverse, challenging, fun and safe recreation and education opportunities. This involved redevelopment of the site of the former Leanyer Lake into a multi-use recreation area. The centrepiece of the project is a 2000sq m walk-in swimming pool with cascading paddle pools and a 500sq m wet deck area equ...ipped with various water play installations. The site also includes a large shaded disabled access playground, a street course skatepark, outdoor stage, basketball court, shaded barbecue and picnic areas, amenities building, plant rooms, kiosk, security fencing and car parks. Stage two includes the addition of a waterslide, new plant rooms, additional shade, car parking, more skatepark facilities, lighting, staff offices and a first aid room. The pool and water play areas will share a common buffer storage and filtration plant while the waterslide will have a separate recirculation system so that failure of one system will not necessitate shutdown of all water base facilities. $5.2 million redevelopment value.

10.01.2022 Office Works Darwin This project consists of the construction of a 1900m2, three tenancy commercial / retail facility, including one large tenancy for ccupation by the key tenant; Officeworks. The building structure consisted of large tilt up concrete panels as the wall structure and dividing tenancy walls, steel roof structure and steel roofing, extensive use of cladding materials and large signage structures to give the building significant positioning along a prominent art...erial road into Darwin city. Sitzler undertook to complete the demolition and civil works for the building and carpark areas using their extensive experience and capacity within their own Civil division. In addition, Sitzler undertook to fully design, construct and erect all of the tilt up concrete panels for the project using their own in house labour and equipment. These self performed works were completed within strict and outside normal work time periods to ensure quality was maintained in the finished panels. Project Value $5.86 Million Completed Feb 2011

05.01.2022 SITZLER Leap Project Defence Force Barracks Defence on Project Single Living Environment and Accommodation Precinct (Project Single LEAP) Phase 2. The project has a total funding requirement of some $900 million. Consisting of 232 units at Larrakeyah Barracks and 686 units at Roberson Barracks, due for completion in third Quarter 2013 and first Quarter 2014 respectively.

05.01.2022 Darwin Wave Pool This project involved the construction of a wavepool including plantrooms containing wave generation equipment, pumps, filters and air-conditioning equipment. The project includes a substation and a separate amenities / kiosk building. The wavepool itself has a water surface area of 4260m2. The pool is constructed on reclaimed land and involves construction of heavy reinforcing with high crack control measures for all the floors and walls of the structure. A ...special high water resistant concrete mix was also used for the structure involving very strict quality control. The pool is constructed over a piled foundation system involving in excess of 120 piles. The installation of the reinforced concrete structure of the wave pool involved the detailed methodical planning procedures particularly in the floor area where a myriad of services needed to be cast below and within the floor amongst very heavy reinforcing and critical control joints. The largest project challenge was to ensure that a watertight structure was constructed. This involved incorporating a controlled series of water stop control joints within the floor and wall structures and particular effort was required as to treatment of these joints where the wall and floor met. Constructability sequencing was managed around these joint locations. Due to its waterfront location, 24 hour dewatering systems were installed to maintain dry conditions to enable construction of below ground elements, throughout the various seasonal issues experienced through the wet and dry over 18 months of construction. Project Value $12.1 million Completed May 2009

The first of many proposed self developed projects for Kalidonis; Horizons on Harvey breaks new ground to the Northern end of growing inner city Darwin by offering a 4 level below ground basement, and 9 levels of ground floor retail/office with a total of 76 mixe...d layout apartments above. Project total value is $42million and was completed in November 2015. A striking design, which will set the standard for this emerging area of Darwin City.
