20.01.2022 Too tired to post yesterday. Spent the day catching up on some sleep and taking a breather. So after getting the 305 small squares in the shed on Tuesday (with... a 1 armed husband and son Mitch) it was foal watch that night. At 11.45pm a large brown filly by Reflections was born out of our Prince Noir/ Weltstar 38 mare. Then to top it off I’m doing my rounds on the quad bike feeding out and checking on everyone next morning and in the paddock where I keep the expectant mares, there’s 3 mares and a recently born black Quarterhall colt next to his Daddy Cool dam. Samantha Dean, Larry has a half brother now as my filly run out of Dancing Queen has ended. My 3rd Quarterhall foal and 3rd colt!!! Will I ever get the elusive filly! This boy was born 2 weeks short of 11 months. So quickly feed the other 2 mares and move these 2 into the vacant shelter and yard in one of the front paddocks. Mr Q (for want of a name beginning with Q) is suckling well, a bit down in the back bumpers but is even drinking water out of a trough. Can’t remember a newborn doing that before, but being born on a warm day is thirsty business. More photos to come as these 2 unscrunch and fill out. 3 foals still to come but I get a short reprieve over the Christmas period. See more

20.01.2022 Another confirmed early pregnancy to Legend of Loxley Imp at Kalimna Stud today. A lovely Furst Romancier/Ferro mare owned by Jackson Stern. This should be a... great foal and looking forward to seeing it next year. Breeding season is in full swing so if you are still looking at breeding your mare there is still plenty of time. Interstate flights are now getting back to normal so freight to the nearest airport is quick and convenient. PM me for details. See more

14.01.2022 Another young Legend of Loxley superstar is Carlyle Legacy owned by Kirsty Beard and beautifully ridden and trained by daughter Jorji. Legacy is 4 1/2 yo and currently stands at 17.1hh. Looking forward to seeing them out and about after Covid restrictions are lifted.

02.01.2022 I got a lovely message from Nicola Bown today about her special mare Kalimna Reality. They were winners of both medium tests at Samford Official Dressage on 30...th August. This mare is by our Rotspon Stallion Kalimna Reflections out of Kalimna Fantasy (Fisherman’s Friend/Anamour). 01.01.2022 Some exciting news from Kalimna Stud and Jackson Stern Dressage this morning. We have just purchased a beautiful black Hanoverian 2 1/2 yo mare by Secret/ Don Crusador/De Niro/ Ravallo in partnership. Happy Christmas to us. Can’t wait till she arrives in Australia in 2021.
