24.01.2022 We had a great day on Thursday arvo for our ‘come and try’ as part of Seniors’ Week. Sixteen people came including ten on an outing from Wimmera Health Care Day Centre and we all enjoyed a chat and afternoon tea afterwards. Several folk said they will definitely be coming back to play

15.01.2022 Somewhat chilly this morning, but we’re away to a flying start in our three day AC Tournament, officially opened by Mandy Kirsopp, Recreation Planning Officer with Horsham Rural City Council. We have 34 players competing in 4 Sections - South Australians from Victor Harbour, Norwood, Murray Bridge, Naracoorte and Penola, and Victorians from Bright, Bendigo, Brunswick, Mooroopna, Geelong, Colac, Swan Hill and Warrnambool, as well as Kalimna Park. Eight greens are needed, so our thanks go to Horsham Croquet Club for their four greens and facilities and to Horsham Bowling for one green adjacent to our three.

14.01.2022 Lovely morning for students to have a go at Croquet - part of School Holiday Program run by Wimmera Regional Sports Assembly

10.01.2022 Last week we lost one of our most valued members, Heather Phillips. Heather discovered croquet when, as Mayor of Horsham Rural City Council, she was invited to open the season in 2016. On retiring from Council she joined Kalimna Park Croquet Club and brought the same passion to learning croquet as she did everything else in her life. Heather's game improved in leaps and bounds as she learnt strategies and attempted the more difficult strokes. Last year she began introducing ...newcomers to the game through 'come and try days' and was inspirational as she gave unstintingly of her time and energy to this role. Heather played both Association and Golf Croquet (as do many of us who love the game). She was battling cancer but was always positive and smiling, determined to let nothing prevent her playing. This was most evident when, against strong opponents, Heather won Section 2 in the Wimmera Association's Golf Croquet Championship on 27th March - less than 2 weeks before her death. Most were unaware that she was ill. Heather's many croquet friends are among others who will miss her terribly. Vale Heather See more

08.01.2022 Looks a bit empty yet, but we’re all ready for our Annual AC Tournament from Monday 23 to Wednesday 25 September, with 34 competitors coming from across parts of Victoria and South Australia. Should be a fantastic three days of friendly but deadly earnest play.

07.01.2022 Here we go again. Let’s get some school kids into Croquet..

06.01.2022 Presidents Day and closing of the season were held on Saturday 18th. A great time was had by all. Trophies were presented to season winners and some of our life members were able to join us for afternoon tea.

06.01.2022 Seventeen @HorshamCollege students visited Kalimna Park Croquet Club yesterday to ‘have a go’ at Croquet in cool but fine conditions. They appeared to enjoy themselves and some seemed to pick up the basics quite quickly. Future champions perhaps? KPCC members involved included Ken Bald, Fay Pearson, Kevin Geyer, Yvonne Watts and Pat Hester

02.01.2022 We enjoyed a great day yesterday with players visiting from across the SA border for a game of Association Croquet. Each two hour game was played with a different partner with the number of wins and hoops tallied for final results. Presentations were followed by afternoon tea
