15.01.2022 Lest we forget. Recognising and remembering They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning... We will remember them. See more

13.01.2022 Message from the Council of 13 Indigenous Grandmothers: ‘As you move through these changing times be easy on yourself and be easy on one another. You are at t...he beginning of something new. You are learning a new way of being. You will find that you are working less in the yang modes that you are used to. You will stop working so hard at getting from point A to point B the way you have in the past, but instead, you will spend more time experiencing yourself in the whole, and your place in it. Instead of traveling to a goal out there, you will voyage deeper into yourself. Your mother’s grandmother knew how to do this. Your ancestors from long ago knew how to do this. They knew the power of the feminine principle and because you carry their DNA in your body, this wisdom and this way of being is within you. Call on it. Call it up. Invite your ancestors in. As the yang based habits and the decaying institutions on our planet begin to crumble, look up. A breeze is stirring. Feel the sun on your wings.’

12.01.2022 Take CARE of the little ones.

11.01.2022 How do I want to be during Covid 19

11.01.2022 Resources for you

11.01.2022 How beautiful A poem shared by Jacinda Adern, the priminister of New Zealand !! to Papatnuku (Mother Earth)... Rest now, e Papatnuku Breathe easy and settle Right here where you are We’ll not move upon you For awhile We’ll stop, we’ll cease We’ll slow down and stay home Draw each other close and be kind Kinder than we’ve ever been. I wish we could say we were doing it for you as much as ourselves But hei aha We’re doing it anyway It’s right. It’s time. Time to return Time to remember Time to listen and forgive Time to withhold judgment Time to cry Time to think About others Remove our shoes Press hands to soil Sift grains between fingers Gentle palms Time to plant Time to wait Time to notice To whom we belong For now it’s just you And the wind And the forests and the oceans and the sky full of rain Finally, it’s raining! Ka turuturu te wai kamo o Rangi ki runga i a koe Embrace it This sacrifice of solitude we have carved out for you He iti noaiho - a small offering People always said it wasn’t possible To ground flights and stay home and stop our habits of consumption But it was It always was. We were just afraid of how much it was going to hurt - and it IS hurting and it will hurt and continue to hurt But not as much as you have been hurt. So be still now Wrap your hills around our absence Loosen the concrete belt cinched tight at your waist Rest. Breathe. Recover. Heal - And we will do the same.

06.01.2022 Great Bedtime Story for little ones

03.01.2022 Sending out a ‘hi’ how are you to all my followers. Stay connected to each other. Turn the TV, radio, social media off regularly and take a break from the current situation. Listen to music, read a book, write a poem. Wave to your neighbour, smile at the person at the checkout, remember we are all doing the best we can. Thinking of you all.

02.01.2022 Hi all. Can I recommend the following You Tube video about Help For Parents during this difficult time. There are resources for parents and children. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hFfwK40Oodc&has_verified=1

02.01.2022 We are in difficult times. Many of us have never lived through hardship or misfortune. Our grandparents have though. Many of the refugees who now call our country home have lived through much worse. And survived. And we will too. Emotions like fear, worry, anxiety, uncertainty, confusion, sadness, frustration....these are all very normal human responses to uncertainty. We don’t know what tomorrow will bring. So try not to focus on tomorrow. Prepare for it, but don’t dwell on... it. Focus on today. Those emotions will only harm us if they overwhelm us, collectively and individually. So focus on today. Look after yourself. Meditate. Read. Cuddle your pets. Stay active. Find something to laugh at. Lose yourself in music. Dance in the loungeroom. Find something positive in every day, however small. And above all, be kind. Not only to others, but to yourself. Together we will manage whatever is to come.
