25.01.2022 Here at Kalinga we are involved in helping many people get pets home when they leave Australia.....our subsiduary Travel Vets handles many pets each week, on the flip side of that story is this good result - https://www.abc.net.au//pets-stranded-overseas-du/12890786

23.01.2022 Recently I have seen a lot of people with older pets that perhaps need a bit of extra care in their life. I have written up a bit of a guideline on feeding these pets. This is mainly focused on pets with chronic inflammatory diseases where existing therapies are not working or not available. I will continue to change the article as I further research individual treatments. https://www.kalingaparkvetsurgery.com.au///26/diet-advice/

10.01.2022 After the strict measures implemented by the government to protect our health, we share in the heartache that our community is experiencing. The impact on almost everyone is so far-reaching; it’s times like these we are reminded of what truly matters the people and pets we love As we navigate these rapidly changing and uncertain times, Kalinga Park is committed to continuing to provide your pets with quality veterinary healthcare. So that we can limit the spread of COVID-19..., we have changed the way we deliver our services. We appreciate your support and respect for these new changes, as our collective efforts will help us to operate for as long as possible. These new changes include: Call or email us, for anything and everything we can create a plan on a case-by-case basis to limit the risk of exposure. For example, food and medications can be ordered and paid for over the phone prior to collection. If you are elderly, disabled, or immune-compromised, we will find a way to help you and your pet. We have telemedicine available if you would prefer. 1 person per pet at each visit Wait outside the clinic for your appointment - I have placed marks on the waiting bench outside - please respect a 1.5m distance from anyone else waiting. This includes your pet. Do NOT interact with other peoples pets. Please don’t touch anything in reception and consult rooms Maintain 1.5m social distancing We are cashless we can no longer take cash or cheques. You can pay via Contactless method. Do not visit us if: You have cold or flu symptoms You have been in contact with COVID-19 positive case You have been overseas in the last 14 days You are in self-isolation If any of the above does apply we do have ways we can help you. Please call us and we will make sure your pet gets what it needs. We will keep you updated with any further changes as things evolve in this unusual new world we are all adapting to. For now, take care and we hope to see you soon. On the bright side, we are sharing this image....working from home does have some health benefits ....you get more time to hug your pets!!!!
