Enjoy! * $30,000 pays $2,250 in tax * $40,000 pays ...$4,750 tax * $50,000 pays $8,300 tax * $60,000 pays $11,800 tax * $70,000 pays $15,350 tax * $80,000 pays $18,700 tax * $90,000 pays $22,600 tax * $100,000 pays $26,500 tax and that "rich bastard" earning $180,000 pays $57,000 in tax. Most of these guys are probably working in the mines, thousands of kilometres away from their family and friends for extended periods of time. For this privilege, he gets to kick in $1,100 of his money in tax every week to pay for people who are upset because they have to pay $7 to visit a doctor He is probably also over the threshold and so doesn't get any Family Tax Benefit to support the kids he doesn't get to see! To earn this money, this person has either education or skill that they have spent years learning and perfecting, or is doing a job that is dangerous or other people don't want to do. The long and short of it is, the country can not keep living on borrowed money and people need to be self sufficient. Don't earn enough money? Get another job. Not qualified for a better paying job? Educate yourself. I absolutely hate lazy people that piss and moan about the government and more to the point (centerlink) Plus you should be drug tested before you collect a cent. I have to pass a drug and alcohol test to earn the money that simply gets handed to you for nothing. If you don't pass, you don't see a cent!
