14.01.2022 Tomatoes are distinctively red ... right?! Some gardeners see tomatoes in a rainbow of colours: red, sure, but also shades of yellow, orange, pink, green, burgundy, purple, streaked and striped, and practically black. Along with those colours come a range of flavors and so many varieties to choose from! We have had a cool, wet start to the month of October meaning soil temperatures are low, and not ideal for planting. If you simply can’t wait to get growing, go ahead and ...buy your seedlings and place them in a large (40L to 60L) clear plastic container. (acts as a hot house) If this is located in a sunny position seedlings should be in great condition for planting out when the topsoil in your location reaches the magic figure of 16C. We also have soil thermometers in stock, such a handy little gardening instrument and a large variety of tomato seedlings

13.01.2022 Don’t forget to visit us this weekend and pickup your Halloween colouring in competition sheet! All entries must be dropped back prior to Saturday 31st Oct! We have received some fantastic entries so far...good luck

01.01.2022 1. Go to the woods / pines bring a cone home. 2. Put the cone in a pot with some soil - so that most of it stands out. 3. Every day water it with a small amount of water, as excess water makes the cones rot. 4. After some time, a tiny tree will appear. 5. Congratulations - you just started oxygen production and you have a piece of forest in your own home ... Thank You for doing something for nature! A great project for little people
