16.01.2022 What's in Season this June! June will see a slowing down of all things veggies - partly due to the record low temperatures and partly down to the un...expected buying boom courtesy of COVID-19. But nevertheless, there's still more than enough fruit and veg to go around! With no real changes since last month, in June you'll find a plentiful supply of fruit, including your standard apples and pears, bananas, watermelon and rockmelon, classic Queensland strawberries and a range of avocado varieties. Blueberries have just started are currently expensive but will drop in price as the month progresses. At this time of year we have multiple regions producing veggies so we're usually spoilt for choice. This year, however, we still have the variety but supply will be spotty. Expect to see your usual variety of brassicas, except kale which has been delayed with the cold snap. Broccoli, cauliflower and carrots are still a bit pricey, as are your pumpkins but beetroot, fennel, leeks, silverbeet and lots of potato varieties will make an appearance this month. Enjoy the cooler weather this month and remember to eat all of your colours and stay healthy. #Whatsinseason #inseason #organic #ChooseOrganic #TrustOrganic #fruit #vegetables #eattherainbow

02.01.2022 Spring is a transitional season, and October sits right in the middle of it. There’s a bounty of organic produce just waiting to be eaten, from fruity tropicals... to revitalising salad greens. We can feel the Summer already! In terms of fruit, your tropicals will start making an early appearance this month. Mangoes will start but may be expensive, whilst Papaya, Melons and Bananas will accelerate with the warmer conditions. There will also be plenty of Strawberries, Haas Avocadoes , Valencia Oranges, Pineapples and Watermelons. The warmer weather means more salad veges will become available. Asparagus, Beans, Broccoli , Carrots , Fennel, Onions and Pumpkin are all in good supply, along with Sweet Corn , Squash and Zucchini coming from several regions. October may see a shortening in supply of organic Cabbages, Cauliflower, Celery, Lemons , Limes, Navel Oranges, Potatoes and Sweet Potato so grab them while you can! Happy Spring and remember to eat all your colours!
