25.01.2022 Here's another harness conversion I recently did for Michael and Braydon using an LS1 and 4l60e They've done a beautiful job on this ole boy, and also using a new Dakota Digital electronic dash, this one wired in with conventional sensors

22.01.2022 This is Phils VH SLE that he has done an amazing resto on Not bad power for a 253 hey.. umm would you believe....

22.01.2022 This is Clintons 5L VS Berlina auto with a Stage 3 Crow cam, fitted with a modified manifold.... interesting because you can see where the old TB neck was cut off and plated and you can see the size of it, compared to the Starr manifold where they cut it way further back to give the biggest opening possible before fitting 90ml neck and throttle body... also I'm not a big fan of these linked together original throttle bodies for many reasons, however it performed well and made... the same total power as George's EH ute in the previous post .... however thats where the comparison stops and if you compare the dyno charts you will see a good 50hp difference all the way up, even at 4400rpm I believe stroker 355's are the cheapest 50 hp you will get everywhere, considering most kits come machined, compared to the cost of reconditioning your original crank and rods... Also generally I recommend staying under 10 to 1 comp, in the region of 9.5 to 9.8 to 1 is ideal for these steel engines on 98 fuel... Sorry for adding all this to your post Clint, but yours did well and part of this is your compression being sensible. If you cant get the timing in, they wont make power. Always used dished pistons, especially these days, because decks and heads may have been buzzed several times..... See more

21.01.2022 Anthony brought his Group 3 VE to me after not running for about a year after an auto to manual conversion... and evidently had been to a couple of places including Holden to sort it out. Luckily, I specialize in wiring harnesses for these and what makes them tick, so after putting everything back together and fixing the mistakes, as well as replacing dodgy ecm, it fired up... And made quite impressive power with 447rwhp A point of interest also here for those of you with fly... by wire throttle bodies is, be very wary of anyone that wants to drill a hole of any size in your throttle blade to achieve idle.... usually, it is not necessary There is alot to understand with idle logic with the E38 ecm, and there are 2 model throttle bodies, along with numerous Operating Systems, and many tuners dont get it.... Usually... (I've edited this post) perfect idle can all be achieved in software, for all situations... cold start etc etc.. perfectly... I have a photo somewhere of a hole you can put your little finger through.. wtf See more

21.01.2022 I havent posted for quite a while Truth is, I've been crook since November but am all clear now. I think this was the first tune this year since then, and i touched up Georges beautiful EH after he put his new COME manifold on which lifted the power to 309hp at the treads with hi stall through T700 box which gave an extra 40hp over the banana manifold

20.01.2022 1st post for the year after a break... What power is Rhys's turbo V6 going to make??? Its a built engine, with cam and 24lb boost... through a t56 manual trans and 3.7 gears We're just about to run it up to check last tune from old motor that snapped a timing chain.... ouch..

19.01.2022 Zared Fox who I share workshop with just completed another LS Patrol conversion and I was first to drive it off the hoist and straight down to bowser for 95 octane fuel and quick road tune before dyno... Its always a pleasure to tune well prepared vehicles, and true to form Zared always does a spot on job and everything went smooth with only minor touchups to my well developed safe mafless tune on fuel thats available in the bush too.... 269hp at treads aint to shabby in 4wd for stock LS1 either.. It should also pass emissions straight off as well

18.01.2022 Here is dyno of Rhys's VY It made a bit more, but is nearly on the max of turbo and fuel pump/injectors Made a solid and safe 550rwhp Great guessing guys

17.01.2022 This is Stuarts 64 Chevy pickup fitted with an LS3 and 6L80e I made my brand new harness as advertised on Gumtree and supplied him with my Shift Command module as well as the tune to make it all run properly. Here I have just tweaked his transmission tune to firm it up and quicken the shift times to a more normal feel over the std slushy factory shifts. Shown here is Stu's Dakota Digital dash with a CanBus adaptor that allows it to run directly off the OBD2 port without wiri...ng any other sensors up. I usually add an extra OBD2 port for this Also you can see the Shift Command module in action which is also run from OBD2 eliminating the use of the BCM body control module and ugly VE shifter. See more

17.01.2022 This is Zared Fox Automotive latest Toyota 80 series conversion and some of you may have seen the build on YouTube Another high quality conversion and a pleasure to tune. It has a mild cammed 6L and running a 6L80e 6 speed auto trans, also running the 80 series auto shifter, and controlling the Tiptronic manual shifting with my Shift Commander module and display It made 313 hp at the large treads running on 95 octane I will add some more flicks of shifter and display soon

14.01.2022 Dean brought his 355 with a few mods in for a tune, but was running standard 5L injectors which maxxed out... We're putting larger LS1 injectors in soon and touch it up again... So there you go 343 rwhp out of std 19lb 5L injectors LS1's are roughly 24lb at 3bar fuel pressure, much the same as blue tops...

13.01.2022 Great news... for 2020... Finally I have cloned my working Windows 10 HP i7 elitebook.... gotta love holidays hey.. Anyway this means we can use Kalmaker Software with these late model laptops using DOSbox through the serial port these upmarket models have at an affordable price I expect to resell them at rough break even price of 400 plus gst if applicable. This means you can run everything on the one laptop.... chip burner etc, as well as all your other tuning software if ...you wish... Now to get the new website up and running and YouTube how to's... Hope you all had a great Christmas and all the best for the New Year 2020... See more

12.01.2022 How cool is this... Ford Y Block valve cover adapters for LS engines... I bought a pair of adaptors that allow SBC covers to bolt on as shown on my 32, but later changed them, and then modified them to suit 5L covers... How many other types are there???

12.01.2022 Here's Chads VC race car which he is racing today at Barbegello Raceway Chad brought this up from Esperence to race today and I checked over after he blew a head gasket last time Its a 308 with 308 B cast heads, running a modified 4v manifold with injector bosses fit and then VN efi and 808 ecu It has a huge solid cam in it and made a very impressive 325hp best cooler run

11.01.2022 This is Tony's std 5L wagon with a 286 cam and Vortex v2 sidemount blower on it... running 60lb injectors We've still got a little work to do, as it has a VT inlet manifold on it with no inlet air temp, and so seeing it has no intercooler is too dangerous to push hard... on std pistons etc You can see how the belt is slipping in 2nd photo with boost dropping off... I chose to leave belt and get airtemp fixed first Not bad though, 371rwhp on about 9lb boost.... cheap horsepowe...r and great torque as you can see in 3rd photo, with about 440ft lbs He's going to upset many LS owners with this especially with power to weight ratio See more

10.01.2022 This is Les's VN which from memory he has had for 27 years... He has recently rebuilt it as a 355 with solid 280 cam amonst other things including the Active manifold and twin throtts. I love these 280 cams... not too big, with plenty of low down and top end power with 347hp at the treads

10.01.2022 It's not often I promote cheap products, but this one is a beauty from ebay costing $62.... I initially bought it for my LS1, but I tried it on my L98 first and it actually worked. I tried it on an LS1 later but didn't work, but it may be because its now setup for my canbus data e38 ecu... Any way, it works fantastic on 6L's and although highly featured is quite user friendly and customizable... There are 2 modes... idle, and moving... My photo shows moving doing 101kph at 8.2 L/100, and the speed is adjustable The top left is spark advance... 50 degrees at very light throttle, down is torque, down is TPS Top right is MAP kpa Total kms And battery voltage All these are user defineable Also theres an option to store your fuel capacity when you fill up, and from the kms it calculates your L/100, which is agood incentive to go easy on the pedal It shows warnings and trouble codes too, although I havent had any... lol, and can also clear trouble codes, all for 62 bucks It shows many pids, including temp and oil pressure, tacho etc, but I have these on my other Shift Command module See more

07.01.2022 Also just letting you know with this Corana stuff, that until lockdown will still be tuning, either just road tunes, or dyno, but we dont want anyone in workshop if dynoing... as we are taking this serious and am in semi lockdown already, as we have heaps of work in workshop to keep us busy for a few months... Please stay safe everyone and hope to see you all on the other side of this... Cheers Al

06.01.2022 This is Ivans nice VN SS 5L manual trans, which he is in the process of restoring, with a small 276 cam in it, and I believe is otherwise stock... Thats pretty good power from our good ole 5L at 273rwhp Car has had bare metal respray and interior redone with genuine SS cloth

05.01.2022 How's Dereks Effy??? Its a 351.... hp from a cammed LS1 Costs alot of money to rebuild Clevo's these days, so the LS was a no brainer... much to the disgust of probably many ford owners...

02.01.2022 This is Reese's VL with a 5 speed manual 5L fitted with a Yella Terra m90 style supercharger. These blowers are the same size as fitted to the V6 commodores, so are pretty small, but do add the torque and feel of a stroker.... but not the top end because of the heat generated of the compressed air... Anyway it did quite well considering everything is stock
