25.01.2022 We have a couple of wide open mic sessions happening this coming Sunday, 17 June at the Kalamunda Farmers Market from 8am until noon and then Sunday 2 Feb at the General Sikorski Polish Club in Bellevue from 1pm until 5pm The Sunday session is almost full with Jeff Mann Danse Macabre and Moondog but if youd like to play as well give us a message or comment here. The first feb session is wide open and airconditioned so jump onto it quickly because it incorporates good food and cold beer too.

His technique and songwriting abilities are unparalleled. If youre serious about good music, dont miss this one, Live in Kalamunda - so good to see the community out there supporting this. 20.01.2022 We know its hard to believe but the December open mic session is looming at the General Sikorski Polish Club in Bellevue. 2019 is almost gone and its your last chance on Sunday 1 December to whoop it up with the Kalamunda Live regulars. 14.01.2022 CONCERT TICKETS FOR THE POP UP UKESTRA AND ANU GRACES BAND UKE NOMAD IN KALAMUNDA NOW AVAILABLE ON LINE! Hi everyone, There have been good enrolments for the Pop Up Ukestra event in Kalamunda with Anu Grace. The Ukestra event, supported by Kalamunda Ukulele Collective, was posted up here recently. This is an event where ukulele players learn to sing and play 3 gypsy jazz numbers over a series of rehearsals with Anu Grace, an Australian Jazz/ukulele player. The Ukestra re...hearsals culminate in a concert. If you would like to get along and see your local Ukestra in action, with Anu Graces band Uke Nomad topping the bill then come along to the concert on Saturday November 23 at 6.30 pm at the Jack Healey Centre. Tickets are now available on line. Link below. In Concert Anu Graces band will be playing numbers from their recent CD, recorded in Alice Springs. Any enquiries please contact me on 0437760174. Concert tickets are $20 adult or $10 children, the show is family friendly! KUC has about 50 members all up, although only a few played today. KUC has been active for a year and gets together at the Jack Healey Centre every fortnight. For info on KUC just message up here. 04.01.2022 SAMANTHA MUIR, CLASSICAL UKULELE PLAYER, TO HOLD WORKSHOPS AND PLAY IN KALAMUNDA Hi Everyone, interesting things are happening in Kalamunda. In March 2019 Ukulele Russ from Alaska put on a sell out ukulele workshop and one man band concert in Kalamunda.... In August 2019 we have Samantha Muir, a classical guitarist with a passion for the ukulele and machete ( a very, very small guitar) with us. She will be putting on three workshops on finger style ukulele and reading tab (including playing in ensembles) and doing an intimate solo concert. This is a rare and exciting opportunity in Kalamunda. Workshops will be at the Zig Zag Cultural Centre (10,11 August) and the concert (10 August) will be at the Jack Healey Centre Main Hall. Poster attached, which has details of how to access booking links. Please feel free to distribute poster. Workshops are now 3/4 full for intro and intermediate finger style ukulele, so early bookings are advised. All workshop participants will get high quality ukulele tabs for selected songs and tunes. 03.01.2022 Our first open mic session for November is on Sunday 3 November at the Polish Club in Bellevue. The music starts at 1pm and goes through until 5pm but the club is open for lunch from 12. There is a fully stocked bar and a la carte restaurant both at super reasonable prices. There is also a good stage and pa.
