22.01.2022 Now for the hardest posts of all. SOLD KALOONA VIRAGO. Kaloona Virago has been one of those horses that you can always trust and know without a doubt that even on her worst day she will still manage to make you smile and be thankful that she is yours. Bred by us, she has turned heads of lots and lots of people throughout her career with us. She turned and shaped a very rough eventing rider into a very competitive showxjump rider with many placings, wins and everything in betw...een. Those that rode her or saw some of the spots she jumped from said that she was that 'one in a million' horse and that is without question the most true thing ever said about this girl. She combines heart, talent and persistence into every step and jump she takes. We know that she will continue to strive to the very limits with her new rider Gabby under the very watchful eye of her instructors Gabbi Kuna and Chris Chugg. Already showing that they are a great combination they went and competed at Tamworth World Cup coming home with a 2nd and a 5th at their very first show and forth ride together. We can not be more happy with the home this girl has found and we will make sure that those of you who are a fancy fan that we will be putting up regular updates on how she is going. Good luck Gabby and Fancy!! Photo Credit to Scott Robbins Photography See more

22.01.2022 We LOVE hearing the owners who have purchased horses from us. Mia was lucky enough to purchase the wonderful Kaloona Tim Tam a year and a half ago - two years ago. After 15 YEARS of not competing, here she is competing in the 1m with the handsome Tim Tam. He is so good, even with jumps blowing over he still nails his round. He is loved by everyone and easy to do things with. Thankyou Mia for getting and staying in touch with us. Keep up the good work!

21.01.2022 SOLD KALOONA VORTEX! We congratulate Maddy Ciacia on her purchase of Tex. As a horse owner we all try to find that perfect match and perfect home for our horses. Well I believe you couldn’t get a much better match. What makes selling our horses all the more easier is the feedback we receive from their new owners knowing that the new partnership between horse and rider is blooming. Maddy recently got in touch to say Little update on tex, he’s doing amazing. He’s even better o...ut cross country that I originally thought. He’s boosted my confidence so much, I used to be super nervous over 80 and now we are starting on some 95 lines! He’s also going through dressage boot camp much to his horror. I think he misses the quiet life I found out how fast he truly is today with a little gallop and some hill work. Thank you so much for trusting me with him! We wish all the best for Maddy and Tex and can’t wait to cheer them on from the side line! See more

20.01.2022 Congratulations to Gaby and Kaloona Virago. Coming home the Opal Champions at Aus Champs! Second competition together and nothing seems to be stopping this amazing pair. Keep up the good work!

19.01.2022 It has been a very hectic start to the year for most people with all the fires around. We here at Kaloona Stud hope that everyone is hanging in there and are safe. Never a nice start to the year with such devastating loss of life, human or animal. In times like this it is easy to miss the good and positive but at the same time we crave any good we can get. On that positive note we have had an excellent start to the year with 3 big exciting news 1. 2020 foals 2. Kaloona Vortex selling and 3. Kaloona Kaydee having a positive 45day scan.

17.01.2022 We welcome two amazing little foals (you have already met Ducati our first foal). Here we welcome a little filly (visage x Charlemagne ego z) and a lovely colt foal (Tb x visage). This little colt with some very pretty bling without being paint has our eye as he is the half brother to the late RimFire. Both these foals have excellent confirmation and are stunning to watch moving around the paddock.

15.01.2022 Back from yet again another event tonight. This time Albury International, Kaloona RimFire being his usual great self placing back to his top 10 with a 6th in the Prelim against a very tough field. This horse just keeps stepping up and taking on new challenges with the best attitude. Based on these results he has now officially qualified for prenovice.

14.01.2022 bit late but Welcome to the world little man! This very leggy boy is out of Kaloona Grace (2* eventer) by Oaks Blue Magic. He is one of the most friendliest foals we have ever had and definitely one of the most athletic.

13.01.2022 Couldn’t be more proud of our latest mares to be broken in. Kaloona Cara Mia (3yr old) and Kaloona Lucia (just turned 4yrs old) have been talking big steps these past few weeks. Here they are playing in the x rails at the latest clear round jump club. This is their first outing and also their first time going over fences. Couldn’t not be more happy. Yes some rails were knocked but a successful new experience is more important and these girls certainly had a successful first outing. Here is Lucy who is just 6 weeks under saddle

07.01.2022 A big thank you to Scott Robbins photography for snapping some AMAZING shots of fancy before we waved goodbye. I HIGHLY recommend that anyone wanting or even thinking about doing a photoshoot should get in touch with Scott or myself. He is absolutely amazing, taking his time to make sure that everything was picture perfect but mostly for being extremely patient with fancy. He took his time to get her use to his equipment and himself so that she felt comfortable and relaxed. The best thing about Scott is that he is a triple threat in the photography world, shooting fur babies, equine babies and also engine babies (motorbikes etc). I am definitely looking forward to our next photoshoot using Scott!

01.01.2022 Kaloona Rim Fire jumping his second ever 1.10 round at the Sydney Summer Showjumping Classic. It was a very tough 1.10 with nearly every line being related, Rimi really took it in his stride. Hard to believe he has only been competing since november last year.
