24.01.2022 Another fantastic day for the 64th Kalorama Rally. A great turn out of veteran cars and we walked away with the best club display #veterancar #racv #kalorama #brass #display #cfa RACV

24.01.2022 OUR 3 BANNERS AND 2 BILLBOARDS ARE NOW INSTALLED SO IT'S ALL SYSTEMS GO FOR THE 24TH MARCH. Not long to go now! This year's event, (the 63rd!!) is shaping up to be a cracker. There has been a huge amount of interest in the 1914 Grand Prix Delage (the only one in the world) which will be displayed on the oval.. This is the car that Jon Faine featured on Leigh Sales' 7.30 report a while ago. This is a unique opportunity to see and hear this significant and outstanding vehicle. ...It is rarely seen in public. Entry on the day is $10 per adult. (Drivers under 25 in an eligible vehicle admitted free). Do remember that all proceeds go to the Kalorama Fire Brigade. See you on the oval on 24 March

24.01.2022 Only one more sleep! What a difference 15 mil of rain made to the oval. It looks fresh and wonderful, as do the Dandenongs generally. Here is a video I took of the oval about 6.30. Notice the Autumn colours are starting to show. A bit late this year as it has been so hot and dry. All proceeds on the day go to the Kalorama Fire Brigade... See you on the oval!

22.01.2022 "SPECIALS" TO BE THE FEATURE VEHICLE AT THE 2020 KALORAMA RALLY. Very rarely if ever do you see "specials" featured at a vintage / post vintage car rally. So you're in for a surprise in March 2020 because "Specials" will be the featured vehicle. The first in a long list of rare and exquisite vehicles is john Lakeland's remarkable, newly built Triumph Special. John's car is our Masthead choice this year. It is truly spectacular. Congratulations to master craftsman Aaron Eckh...ardt of Sleeping Classic Restorations, Bayswater VIC who built the magnificent aluminium body.. Watch this space as we deliver news of other "Specials" rarely if ever seen in public. I you have a Special, please bring it along. Drop us an email and a photo at [email protected] so we can post your car on our Facebook page. . We'd love to hear from you.

18.01.2022 ROLLOVER AUSTIN 7!! This the very car that rolled over at Kalorama in the late 60's. It is now owned by Len Forster and will be brought all the way from Colac to be on display at the 63rd Kalorama Rally next Sunday 24th. What a piece of Kalorama history!! The car was owned at the time by the late Don Rogers who was luckily not hurt in the incident. I have heard of the incident and I'm sure many of you will remember it. I'm sure someone in the Austin 7 Club Inc will know the c...ar. Does anyone have a photo or movie of the rollover? If so, please email [email protected], or call Paul Edgar on 0419 369 542 Better still, how about coming up to Kalorama for the Rally. Entry is $10 per person (Children free as are drivers under 25 of an eligible car -25 years or older that qualify for Club plates). And remember all proceeds go to the Kalorama Fire Brigade .

15.01.2022 Pics from Kalorama Rally.

14.01.2022 It's only a few hours now before the gates officially open at the 63rd Kalorama Rally. And what a beautiful morning it is in the Dandenonds. 15c right now, dappled clouds, a bright moon and stars and owls hooting in the background. Couldn't be better!! There is no need to book. Just roll up to the Kalorama Memorial Reserve (Melways reference 120 A9) after 10.00. Entry to the oval is $10 per person with children under 16 free. Free also are L, P or drivers under 25 driving an... eligible vehicle (a vehicle eligible for "Club Plates"). There will be lots to see and do. This Rally is somewhat different to many in that it focuses more on prewar and early post war vehicles. The big attraction this year is the 1914 Grand Prix Delage (the only one in the world) and Veteran cars - built before 1919. There will also be a working display of Stationary Engines, fire fighting equipment and many more attractions. Lots of parking, lots to eat and drink (courtesy CFA). So how about coming up. You're assured or a great day. And do remember, ALL PROCEEDS GO TO THE Kalorama Fire Brigade See you on the oval.

08.01.2022 2021 KALORAMA RALLY CANCELLED It is with much frustration and sadness that we announce the cancellation of the proposed 2021 Kalorama Rally due to Covid-19 concerns. In light of so much uncertainty and in the interests of public safety the Committee considers this course of action unavoidable. As time progresses we will announce arrangements for the 2022 Rally which we would expect to be held on Sunday 20th March 2022.

08.01.2022 A final reminder that the 64th Kalorama Rally scheduled for today has been CANCELLED

02.01.2022 It is with much regret and frustration that we advise you of the cancellation of the 64th Kalorama Rally. This is obviously in line with the Governments COVID-19 recommendations and we believe the cancellation is in the best interest of the public, in particular the @kalorama CFA auxiliary who would have been doing the catering, as they have done for some decades. We sincerely thank all volunteers and patrons for their support and interest in the event and look forward to th...e next Rally. We are considering running the 2020 event later in the year, so keep posted. Would you please pass on this cancellation. In particular, should you be a member of a car club, please ask your Editor or other official to forward notice of the cancellation to all members with an email address. If you have any queries, please email us at [email protected] With kind regards Kalorama Rally Committee.
