25.01.2022 KRCS started their classroom celebration of NAIDOC today. It started with a Smoking Ceremony at the front gate. Thank you to Margaret, Jemma, Jayne and Jo for arranging this. This was followed by fun activities - Cultural activities organised by Jayne and Jo, painting on canvas, face painting and beading. These activities will be run again between 10:40 and 11:40am Wednesday and Thursday and community members are most welcome to attend. Thank you also to the RSAS Team for helping out.

18.01.2022 On Friday we had our Stronger, Smarter Day for the end of term. Here are our awesome winners!



17.01.2022 At our Stronger Smarter day we rewarded our students whose attendance for the term was 90% and more. This includes our very cute Kindi Link kids! It is important to come to school every day and we are very proud of our students who do that!

17.01.2022 Congratulations to this weeks award winners. Each week teachers choose two students from their class to receive a Merit Award and a Stronger Smarter Award. These awards are given to students who have good attendance, work well in class and display the school values of Strong, Smart, Safe and Caring.



16.01.2022 Today we did some more fun activities to celebrate NAIDOC Week! Tomorrow our activities start at 10:40 followed by a NAIDOC assembly and then a barbeque lunch. After lunch the whole school is going to the pool! Everyone from the community are more than welcome to join us at the school for the activities, the assembly and the barbeque lunch!

16.01.2022 Last week, 9 students rode fat wheel bikes to Honeymoon bay. A total of 24km, through sand and corrugated roads. This camp was a practise for our larger bike ride to Mitchel falls this week! Thanks to Joy and Lancho who took the students on a charter boat trip once they arrived- those photos to come!

14.01.2022 The Mango Festival is upon us once again. This Friday at 11:30 am under the big mango tree at the school. Come and taste the students wares - mango ice cream, mango bread, mango jelly, mango ice tea. All school assembly will be held before the festival and starting at 11am.

This will test their physical and mental resilience and promote teamwork, camaraderie and determination to achieve their goals. Good luck you mob! Please take care (and give a wave!) if you are on the road between Kalumburu and Theda today, Theda and Munurru on Monday 7/9 or Munurru and Mitchell Falls on Tuesday 8/9. PS I was lucky to spot them from the air when I flew over some time later!

02.01.2022 Assembly today was followed by our yearly Mango Festival! It was a great success with a lot of yummy food. The kids also enjoyed throwing mangos at their teachers (cardboard cutouts!) And a big shout out to Liddell and her family for guessing the right amount of mangoes in the box (60) and took home a food hamper.
