25.01.2022 We are the Elders of tomorrow, hear our voice. Shared by the jarjums (children) in Kalwun's Early Learning Program, this is the theme for National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children’s Day (Children’s Day) 2020. Children’s Day is a time for all Australians to celebrate the strengths and culture of our children. It is an opportunity to show support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, as well as learn about the crucial impact that culture, family and ...community play in the life of every Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander child. For more information, visit https://aboriginalchildrensday.com.au/

21.01.2022 NAIDOC Week 2020 is being celebrated from 8-15 November. Kalwun have taken a conservative approach to NAIDOC this year and have decided to host the NAIDOC Week Flag Raising and support the Titans NAIDOC event. Unfortunately there will be no other Kalwun-site specific events or the annual Gold Coast to Tweed march. Everyone is welcome to join us to celebrate. We will have an event specific COVID-19 Safety Plan with procedures in place to ensure our community is safe. Nb - RSVP is ESSENTIAL.
