Theres been a heavy influence of the K-pop and Korean culture in the KALYEs of the Philippines lately that it was bound to affect us Our KALYENEROS might see a slight similarity to the Filipino dish 'Bihon', but of course our nanays (mums), titas (Aunties), and lolas (Grandmas) will always cook it better so we knew we would never compare. 18.01.2022 This Filipino sawsawan (Filipino term for dipping sauce) is always a hit with fried pork dishes or items off the grill. The tanginess gives balance to the greasy flavor, making it less overwhelming (pangtanggal umay). Calamansi pulp has a distinctive flavour described as a cross between lime and orange. The flesh is juicy and acidic. ... Calamansi is a rich source of vitamin C. Its juice is used as a flavouring ingredient or as an additive in various food preparations. You may or may not know that we use this in many of our KALYE menu items. Calamansi is a fruit grown all over Southeast Asia. It is very popular in the Philippines and is called the golden lime. 01.01.2022 Today the KALYE family celebrates the life of one of its own. We've always been a family business and centred our lives around these values. Mario (right in picture), is the proud father of Mrs KALYE and had been an integral part of KALYE's operations in front and behind the scenes.... We thank everyone for the beautiful and kinds words during this trying time. His presence will surely be missed but we know he'll still always be with us at each future event...
