21.01.2022 Thursday highlight in Banjora Room! While some of the Banjora friends had a morning sleep, Miss Jaye had some one-on-one time with one child. Together they made the most out of the rainy weather, splish- splashing in the wet puddles! They also read a Peppa Pig picture book about Peppa and her family splashing in the muddy puddles! As Mummy Pig always says to Peppa- "You can't splash in the muddy puddles without your boots!" Link to Early Years Learning Framework:... Outcome 3- Children have a strong sense of well-being. Children share humour, happiness and satisfaction. Children are happy, healthy, safe and connected to others. Link to National Quality Standards: Quality Area 1- Educational Program and Practice. The educational program enhances each child's learning and development. Educators are deliberate, purposeful and thoughtful in their decisions and actions.

15.01.2022 We had perfect weather for our Walk for Daniel excursion this morning! It was wonderful to see the children wearing red today We carried our red balloons as we did our walk, and then we joined in activities - red playdough, cars and trucks, dancing to music on the iPod, and of course just exploring the area! We all had a lovely time on our annual Walk for Daniel

05.01.2022 International Mud Day 2020 "International Mud Day aims to connect children around the globe through the earth, by playing in the mud!" Miss Jaye thought we could celebrate a little differently by participating in a sweet sensory experience, mixing cocoa powder, flour and water together, to create a mock mud experience. We have participated in various sensory and tactile experiences throughout the last several weeks. ... As Miss Jaye mixed the ingredients together, some of the Banjora children were repeating back the words "mix, mix"! And as the children were engaging and exploring the mock mud with their hands, they were using describing words such as "dirty" and "muddy". Miss Jaye was very excited to see language development and new words occurring throughout the learning process. Link to Early Years Learning Framework: Outcome 5- Children are effective communicators, Outcome 2- Children are connected with and contribute to their world. The Banjora Room has celebrated various global earth events this month such as World Environment Day, World Oceans Day and World Rainforest Day.
