25.01.2022 Our Advanced Intermediates got to practice their Bridge & Rolls with our new friend today! He still doesn’t have a name yet. I’ve been letting the kids suggest names but waiting to hear one that will stick. Somehow, I don’t think Target Face will be the winning name.

25.01.2022 While you’re the nail, hang in there. Let them hit you... Until the day you become the hammer, then you smash them back. - Royce Gracie. After 7 months of covering up, blocking & defending. Playing the rope-a-dope. It’s time to Hammer back. Indoor classes start back this week. Contact classes can start back in 2 weeks. We’ve had awesome support from our members coming back & new students looking to start something new. Can wait to see you all on the mats. Let’s go

24.01.2022 KANDOLYMPICS. Wanted to give a MASSIVE shoutout to Noah & Owen for doing an awesome job in the Kandolympics events that we’ve been hosting over the last few months of Lockdown. Each week we set a different challenge for students while they were stuck at home that were designed to test their perseverance, balance, skill & control. These two were the only two who completed every single challenge. I’m super proud of these boys & I know they’ll achieve awesome things in Martial Arts!

23.01.2022 What today’s announcement means for us: Contact Training resumes 20 adults in a group (previously 10) 80 venue capacity (previously 40) No spectator limit separate to venue capacity... Masks must be worn indoors. I’m hoping to get clarification on masks worn during indoor exercise and how that relates to classes & if full contact training means shared equipment rule can be eased too.

22.01.2022 Those that said you can’t are the ones that are afraid you will It’s the start of a new year. Traditionally, it’s a great time to set your goals. What do you want to achieve in 2021? Set your goals and make them BIG! ... One of my trainers say it’s important to have big scary goals that make you nervous just setting them, that stretch you out of your comfort zone but at the same time aren’t completely unrealistic. And those people that doubt you or say that you can’t reach that goal? Well they’re holding you back. If you want something, get after it. Those that write their goals down are 10x more likely to achieve them. Let me know! What’s 1 goal you are going to achieve this year?

18.01.2022 Happy Birthday to Sempai Irene! Leave your birthday wishes below

18.01.2022 Awesome first session of Black Belt Club today! I was really excited to teach this some single stick & things that most of these kids hadn’t seen before. Very grateful to the Knox Kando Family for allowing me to do what I do!

15.01.2022 Strong girls smashing some uppercuts

14.01.2022 Knowing is not enough, we must apply. - Bruce Lee. Contact training resumes today. Now it’s time to APPLY all that knowledge we’ve gained in virtual classes over the last 8 months! Can’t wait to see you on the mats!

12.01.2022 CATCH WRESTLING DEMO! [6/11] As part of my 4th Degree Black Belt grading in August 2019 I was asked to put together a demonstration of Martial Arts I had learned away from Kando that I would be bringing back to our art, style & club. While training at Team Takedown with @chrisjshen & Bear Cave BJJ with @trent.rice I wanted to demonstrate putting together wrestling & brazilian jiu jitsu. A drill we do with Coach Chris is the takedown into 3 submissions drill and I thought this would be a great way to demonstrate some knowledge. This technique: Single Leg High Elevation finish into Inside Ashi position and Straight Achilles lock; Leg Lace; Inside Heel Hook.

11.01.2022 Great first two days of classes. Loved seeing everyone’s smiling faces. Everyone following our COVIDSafe rules & having a great time with Martial Arts!

10.01.2022 We’re Rolling!!!

04.01.2022 We love a clean dojo!
