25.01.2022 I will be conducting another round of pick ups today for scrap metal and unwanted white goods. Heading to the bush later to assess the conditions of the dumping areas & see what unrecyclable waste needs to be removed... :-)

24.01.2022 Went back to the Bush today to assess one of the local dumping areas. Picked this up.

23.01.2022 Garage sale has been pushed forward to Sunday, due to the amount of items up for sale. Total clean out garage sale Sunday instead of Saturday.

23.01.2022 Today I came across some dumped waste in the Bush while driving off road with my dog. The sad thing is, it's only 10kms from the tip. I guess these people didn't want to pay the fees. Looks like I will need to schedule another clean up.

22.01.2022 I went back to the bush in the south west recently. I did see some recent dumping, but I'm glad its not as bad as its has been in some areas. I have picked out a few locations to clean up over winter. Heading to some of the other areas that I haven't been to in a few years soon, to assess how 'clean' communities keep their hidden natural ecosystems. :-)

21.01.2022 Dry jarrah firewood for sale. $100 per cage pick up or delivery from Glen Iris. Perfect for pot bellies. 0429605846.

20.01.2022 From trash to the tip. Another small clean up done and dusted. :-)

16.01.2022 I just finished another Bush round up of rubbish. Will return to get the rest another day. :-)

13.01.2022 Still doing my usual thing. Collecting & recycling white goods, scrap metal and electronics. I am due to go to the local dumping spots again to assess the condition of the bush. Hopefully its not too messy this time. :-)

13.01.2022 Collected more dumped scrap. Just glad to be doing something positive for the environment. I still have to go back and get more from the bush in my spare time. Such a big effort considering the distance I have to travel, but totally worth seeing the difference to the bush, cleaning up the dumped mess and all.

12.01.2022 Driving thru the Bush, it ceases to amaze me...

11.01.2022 Ever since I stopped cleaning up the rubbish in the bush, localised dumping of waste has exploded to monumental levels. So I took my dog off road to see it for myself, only to be shocked to see the amount of waste that is trashing pristine areas of natural bushland. So despite it not being a financially viable enterprise, as a true Australian patriot, I am once again going to resume my off road treks to resurrect natural ecosystems and reverse the human impact on areas of the Australian bush that are being destroyed by human neglect & waste contamination. Its a highly unrewarding effort, but if I don't take action, no one will & our natural landscape is going to deteriorate very quickly.

11.01.2022 I will have to do a tip run on my next visit. These are some images of other places. Still got plenty of area to cover. Will keep you posted. :-)

11.01.2022 Another clean up completed. :-)

09.01.2022 I've been off the radar recently due to some minor injuries. But I've been given the all clear, so I'll be conducting another round of pick ups this weekend.

07.01.2022 I have been busy scouting out old cleaned up areas and the life that has returned is simply astounding. I'll be going further out bush to assess what has been dumped in a few new locations. Old habits die hard i guess. Bring it on....

06.01.2022 I have started a new job, only 2 weeks into it. I will be heading off road again soon to check out the dumping areas in the Bush and assess the rehabilitation efforts of the areas I have already cleaned up. I have recently received new information regarding new dumping zones in thick scrub so I will be travelling to these areas tomorrow to see just how much waste has been dumped and the size of the natural bush affected by the mess. I will take photos and will be doing a budget in the next few days to cater for the removal of the waste and what rehabilitation tasks need to be implemented to restore the areas back to their original condition. :-)

05.01.2022 K and R Salvage is under new management. Scrap metal pickups will continue via the new Owner/Manager. More details to come... :-)

04.01.2022 Now that's just plain lazy...

02.01.2022 I have recently started an Instagram page: Matthew1049. I will be uploading photos of the local dumping areas as I clean them up on both this page and my Instagram page. I continue to do this as a hobby outside of my work schedule and will continue to do it voluntarily, as cleaning the Bush is a habit I just cant ignore. :-)

01.01.2022 CLOSING DOWN SALE. K and R Salvage is now officially closed for any pick ups of scrap metal. The workshop is being dismantled and all workshop items will be sold at a garage sale Saturday November the 9th at 33 Vittoria Road, Glen Iris Bunbury. We have work benches, pallet racking, furniture, bins, shelving units and more. All items must go. Thank you to everyone for your support. :-)
