25.01.2022 7 days... Whilst preparing for next Saturday's big event at the Cut we found this beautiful but tragic photo of Luca. You can clearly see the wounds left from f...ishing line entanglement on his pec flippers where infection into the bone ultimately led to his death. A lot of people have asked about his mother Laika. She stayed in the very same area for several weeks after, always closely accompanied by her previous daughters, perhaps for comfort. Finally she left when all the other dolphins did as well, for the ocean, for a few weeks. Laika is now being seen again courted by males and will likely become pregnant again. Sadly human rubbish needlessly killed Luca. We hope to see as many people as possible at next Saturday's event to try and tackle this problem. https://www.facebook.com/events/421727311807790/ See more
