20.01.2022 Protecting Every Life! The National Road Safety Week theme for today is to protect every life which includes pedestrians. Pedestrians are also part of the tragic statistics that make up the annual Australian road toll. If all road users stay alert of their surroundings and are particularly cautious when entering high-risk areas, such as school zones, our roads will become that much safer.

The Move Over, Slow Down theme is aimed at creating a safe working environment by prompting motorists to apply common sense when passing roadworks, roadside breakdowns, and crash zones.

14.01.2022 Cyclist and Motorcyclist Safety! In line with National Road Safety Week, we are highlighting the fact that cyclists and motorcyclists are our most vulnerable road users. All road users need to share the road responsibly, provide adequate spacing and distance, and keep within the speed limit.

06.01.2022 Safe Driving to Work! Today’s theme for National Road Safety Week is driving to work safely. Road Rage adversely affects driving behaviors which can cause unnecessary accidents and fatality. Driving in traffic can be frustrating, however simple road etiquette and patience will make our roads safer.

03.01.2022 Shine a Light! To increase road safety, make sure you turn on your headlights when driving at night or in reduced visibility. FUN FACT: Did you know high beams cannot be used closer than 200 meters from other road users, whether you are following a vehicle or driving towards vehicles?
