08.01.2022 Sharing our expectations and understanding of school... this is a great starting point to understanding any anxieties associated with starting school. We can then address those worries in play, modelling or information exchange with schools and families.

08.01.2022 We have babies Observing, interacting with and learning to care for animals can be a valuable part of a child’s education experience, enriching their learning! How lucky are we to have a family who can support that enrichment with a chick hatching experience! We have 4 chicks today and 2 more either overnight or in the morning

07.01.2022 Thanks to the handful of parents who came along to help at the working bee this morning, we ticked everything off list and the yard looks great! There will be plenty of opportunities to help out during the year

07.01.2022 Treat training with Smokey. He sits, drops, shakes and sometimes rolls over. The benefits of having Smokey at Kinder have been amazing. Many children have grow in confidence interacting not just with dogs, but animals in general. Smokey is a welcome distraction at times, a warm cuddle in other moments and always up for a pat. Children feel a great sense of belonging and community with the help of Smokey’s attendance. How does your child feel about there being a dog at Kinder?

07.01.2022 Come down and say hi to members of our kinder community at Bunnings in Eltham today! Buy a sausage and help raise funds for our new cubby house!

04.01.2022 Did you hear about the working bee? This Saturday morning from 9-12. If you have a wheelbarrow, rake, shovel, or weeding tools please bring them along! ... The back yard is in need of a spruce up and there are a few jobs to do inside too. We normally love the help of little people, however this working bee has some machinery being used that is not suitable for children. We hope to see you there!

04.01.2022 There are a few great Trivia nights coming up this weekend. KG Primary and Hurstbridge are both trying out an online trivia evening. If you have no plans, maybe you should check it out! https://www.facebook.com/daniellegreenmp/videos/932885247215897/

02.01.2022 We were very lucky to have Tim Reed and Linda MacAuley join us this morning for an artistic brainstorming session. During our sessions we have been reflecting on the Flora and Fauna native to Nillumbik that the Wurrundjeri people, first owners of this land, looked after for thousands of years. We are grateful to still enjoy the amazing animals and plant life here and acknowledge this regularly. Today we have looked at the shapes of the animals, seeds and leaves as we try ...to recreate our versions of them. Tim and Linda were a inspiring duo to have in and worked very gently with the children. Together, we are creating a wonderful artwork to recognise our acknowledgment of country. We cant wait to see it!
