16.01.2022 A sunny fine December Sunday welcomed archers, second time shooter Brad Fooks came back out to back up his first round, and Juniors Blake Turbill and Austin Wilksch joined us this round. *Provisional* round results from Sun 23/12/18 - Junior Canberra round (30 arrows from 40m / 30m / 20m - Large 122cm target): Donna Johnson (recurve) 701 (white ranking) Brad Fooks (compound) 810 (black ranking) Aaron Wilksch (compound) 850 (blue ranking)... Austin and Blake tried target archery at the archers range for the first time, it's a few golds and some mini competitions between themselves for fun ! The short-ish nature of the Junior Canberra round had archers chasing the ‘gold’ - to get all arrows in the centre of the target, pic is Aaron with one of two ‘Perfect Tens’ (6 consecutive arrows inside the 10 ring). 15.01.2022 Righteo !! KI Archers enjoyed a fairly brisk morning on the range on Saturday 11 May, with variable winds coming from the west. Enthusiastic new member Janice tested her skill shooting unsighted recurve over 30m, with admirable consistency. Muzza, Max & Aaron shot a Darwin round (90 arrows shot at a large face target at 40m). Muzza also shooting barebow recurve (without sights) came in with 373 points, clicking up a notch when he located his faithful finger tab & started to m...enace the gold rings. Max shooting compound racked up a very handy 792 points (Red ranking) including an ‘all gold’ and Aaron returned to shoot 832 points (Red ranking) with six all golds to show for the morning’s shooting. KI archers are back to shooting the winter schedule on Saturdays from 9am and can shoot Sundays also by arrangement. If you’re keen to try your skill on the Archery Range, please contact us and come & get involved - we look forward to seeing you there ! See more

15.01.2022 Saturday morning KI Archers were welcomed to sensational conditions at the range; negligible wind and bright but overcast - absolutely perfect for the task ahead ! Muzza and Janice opted to shoot a Geelong round, with recurve bows, for which a total of 90 arrows are shot from 30m at a large 122cm target face, whilst Max Fooksy & Aaron stretched out slightly for a Melbourne round, shooting 90 arrows with compound bows from 50m at a large 122cm target face. Results at the end o...f the day were: Muzza: 537 - coming in just under white classification Janice: 292 Aaron: 815 (3x All Gold 50m) - Red classification Max: 800 (1x All Gold 50m) - Gold classification Brad: 678 - Black classification As always great fun and relaxed atmosphere was enjoyed by all. Amongst the highlights were 4 All gold claims from 50m and also included Brad nailing a ‘Robin Hood’ straight into the back of one of Max’s arrows for 8 points, and will now be known as a ‘sabotage’in‘ hood’... well done ! There will be a working bee on next week to upgrade the range markers, followed by a fun shoot of some description & a bbq. See you all next week ! See more
