20.01.2022 The fires started in, I think, August 2019 and they were a long way away from us. As the summer passed the fires got closer and closer and by Christmas we knew that at some time they were going to hit us. They had devastated huge tracts of land, millions of hectares. We had Rebecca and Gatis and the kids (Sienna and Sacha) at the farm for Christmas and then they were going to Jervis Bay for New Year and early January. From the moment you arrive you are taught how to respect all animals and leave not only having been on a horse ride but learnt something about the valley history, horse behaviours, the different forests present and more. You can tell these guys have been doing this for a long time and safety is a priority. Great for riders of any experience.
