20.01.2022 Matt is a farmer and reckons when conventional wisdom and commonsense fails we need to get back to the basics. When Matt leaves the farm he rubs his hands in fresh cow manure to reduce his risk of transmitting or exposing himself to COVID-19. This reduces the likelihood of Matt wanting to touch his face, eyes, mouth or ears. It discourages people from wanting to shake his hand and helps him enforce a safe social distance. Matt also claims it reminds him to wash his hands really well before eating dinner. Look for a free sample fresh from Princetown in your mailbox soon. If you just can't wait Matt suggests human poo works well too. Or you could just stay at home.

18.01.2022 Institute Open Day! - No ATAR required. With the Kangaroobie Klassic just around the corner on Saturday March 14th. The Princetown Institute of Sport have decided to open up race headquarters this Sunday March 8th to support those that may want to try a new activity or polish up their skills and familiarise with the course for race day. Have you ever wanted to try paddling a kayak but don't know where to start? Don't mind walking or running and would like to get more adventu...rous and try some trails and off road? Used to love riding a bike can borrow one and just need some motivation and support? Love swimming in a pool but are a little freaked out by open water? We generally prefer to sit but one thing the Institute has always stood for is that age and lack of ability should never be a barrier to trying and enjoying a new activity. Where: Look for tents on the banks of the Gellibrand River 600m past the turn off to Kangaroobie on Old Ocean Road Princetown When: Sunday 8th March drop in any time from 8am til midday What: Extra equipment including kayaks and canoes on the river bank and support and tips for anyone to wanting to try paddling, swimming, trail running or wanting to check out the super groomed Kangaroobie single track on a mountain bike. BYO food, drink, swimmers, runners, bikes and deck chairs if you just want to come and relax and enjoy the wonderful Gellibrand River Estuary. We will be around tinkering on the trails the rest of the weekend so if Sunday morning doesn't suit you can text or ring Matt 0427 101 870 or Mark 0427 559 371 to find out where we are at. All welcome!

03.01.2022 Gotta hand it to the BHUMS from Barwon Heads who have lifted their training regime to new levels ahead of the 2020 Kangaroobie Klassic. In a training first our sources claim BHUM adults have been sending their kids from Sheepwash down the Barwon River to "At the Heads" to fetch coffee for them (in order to improve core stability and paddle to run transition times in their elite junior squad.) All the while the adults have been sitting on the river bank getting slow and lazy. Some things never change.
03.01.2022 Kangaroobie Klassic 2020 Part 4 paddle - transition hill and trail run one more set to come. Have you seen yourself yet. Tag in someone you know then stretch and give us 20 burpees
02.01.2022 Saddle up for the paddle. Challenging conditions but still plenty of smiles. Who would you take your coaching tips from? AJ or Brooke?

01.01.2022 Time to support our sisters and brother's in arms. Get your entries in now and get ready to "wrestle the trestle." Time to get your runners dirty and swamp ready and what a perfect course to lay one down on. At 9.6km you may just peg your best 10K time ever. Continue past the finish line and sprint to Timboon Fine Ice Cream for a last 400m incentive and reward for your efforts. A great event with 5K and 1.6km options to walk, jog, sprint and get involved.
