17.01.2022 Being dog lovers at Kingscote Dental, we are baking sugar free dog treats (of course they’re tooth shaped and stars for little dogs ) to support the RSPCA on Cupcake Day. Come in, make a donation of $5 and take a packet, available until all gone, in the week starting Monday October 26th. All money goes directly to the RSPCA. Stay tuned for photos of the first batch which will be baked this weekend ! #rspcacupcakeday

10.01.2022 Lost your recycling mojo in the last few months ? We have had to move the TerraCycle recycling box out of the waiting room due to covid rules but it’s still here next to the back door. Help us to fill it up with old toothbrushes, floss containers, used Piksters, really anything dental , better than it going into landfill ! Pop in anytime to make a deposit, no appointment required ... We nominated the RSPCA to receive the money when it was full last year What a great company- they can recycle so many other things too, such as pens and coffee capsules. You can use their search bar with what you want to recycle : https://www.terracycle.com.au/en-AU/

Professor Paula Moynihan is Director of Food and Health in the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences and she won’t sugar-coat it for you. In our next professorial lecture, Paula explores the effects on the mouth and the body from eating too many sugars-rich foods and drinks, and looks at how Australians fare when compared with global recommendations on sugar intake.
