22.01.2022 It’s with both great pride and excitement that the club can announce Jared Allen as the head coach of the A-Grade side in 2021. For those that don’t know Jared, he’s a born and bred Kangaroo. Played all of his juniors at Kangaroos before going down to Sydney to play in the u20’s and NSW Cup at the Roosters and Dragons. Moving back up to Cairns he played a major role in winning the Kangaroos back to back A-grade premierships before then playing 40+ games at the Pride. Whilst... he may be new to coaching senior rugby league many of his former coaches are still in the NRL system. Most notably Justin Holbrook, Jason Demtriou and Jason Taylor. Jared has a wealth of Rugby League knowledge that all of our players will gain a great benefit from. We wish Jared great success as a coach and look to 2021 full of optimism. Pre-Season for all grades will commence on the 12th Of January.

21.01.2022 In a thrilling match in front of a packed home crowd on a very wet Saturday Night we were able to pull off a remarkable come back victory against our rivals the Mossman Sharks. It was the first time playing Mossman since a handful of players left Kangaroos to sign with the Sharks at the beginning of the 2015 season. The match didn't disappoint the local fans at all. It wasn't the best of starts for our Kangaroos, finding ourselves down 18 - 0 just minutes into the game. In fa...ct we were never in front on the scoreboard until the 78th minute. Trailing 16 points with only minutes to spare the boys we're going to have to dig deep to pull out a win. It took a true team effort and the boys were able to score three late tries in the final stages of the game. Perhaps the toughest task was that of centre Bradley Stephens' who had to kick Three sideline conversions in the pouring rain to keep the game within reach. 18.01.2022 Another tough win down in Innisfail. It was a very close match throughout and took a field goal in the finals seconds from the show and go king Harry Ambrym to put us in front. It was then heart in your mouth stuff with Innisfail having a penalty conversion from 40 out after the siren to win the game. However they were unable to convert. Enjoy

16.01.2022 AGM Notification Kangaroo Rugby Leagues Club Inc will be holding its Annual General Meeting on Saturday November 21st at 10am at Kangaroos Rugby Leagues Club. All members are invited to attend.... Any members who are unable to attend the AGM may be able to delegate their voting power to another member or representative to vote in their absence with a Proxy Vote. 09.01.2022 OFFICIAL! Re-Signed! Welcome Back Bradley And Ty! Bradley Stephen and Ty Millard will both be back in the blue and gold in 2021. Bradley's been a force in the CDRL since he made his debut. He was was an integral part of the back to back premiership team in 13 & 14. Won a stack of club awards including the coveted player of the year award at our club. He's played rep footy and QLD Cup.... It's a big boost to our team to get Bradley going around again next year. Ty Millard had a breakout year in 2019. Cementing his spot as the A-Grade hooker. Finishing in the top 5 for the Bendigo Bank gold medal for the best player in the competition. We are excited to see what they're going to do on the field next year. 2021 Year Of The Kangaroo
