25.01.2022 Classes will be up and running by the end of the year tag a mum who would want to know

25.01.2022 To the mum of a premmie

24.01.2022 Today is International Bereaved Father’s Day, and is always the last Sunday of August every year. "It must be very difficult to be a man in grief. Since men do...n’t cry and men are strong, where is the relief? . It must be very difficult to stand up to the test, field calls and visitors so she can get some rest. . They always ask if she’s alright and what she’s going through, but seldom take his hand and ask, My friend, but how are you? . He hears her crying in the night and thinks his heart will break. He dries her tears and comforts her, and stays strong for her sake. . It must be very difficult to start each day anew and try to be so very brave. He lost his child too." . Credit ~ Author Unknown Sending love and light to all the Father's who have lost a child. We encourage you to reach out for help when you need it, knowing it is not a sign of weakness, but rather one of courage and strength. We are here for you. 22.01.2022 It's time to introduce ourselves My name is Ange and this is my 1 year old son Max, we are almost ready to start Kangatraining classes in Palmerston....hopefully really soon . I am a Darwin born and bred local girl and have been here all my life. I have been a group fitness instructor in Palmerston for 5 years and hold a cert 3 & 4 in fitness, additional pre & post natal certifications, and have almost finished my Kangatrainers instructor course. I am a mum of 5, and ...I believe every mother deserves a bit of "me time", and can't wait to start providing mums their bit of "me time" self care if really important for everyone, but especially for mums, where you almost always forget about yourself. I can't not wait to have a dance, laugh and a coffee with you all really soon. Keep an eye on the page for updates, and tell all your mum friends Photo credit thanks to the amazing Mel Vicary Photoworks

21.01.2022 Some pictures of some things you should bring to Kangatraining A mat or towel for floorwork A non stretchy scarf or long muslin wrap that can be folded to go around your waist (we use this in our Floorwork) A baby carrier (as a blanket rule Bjorn's are not appropriate)... Your cutest and most important accessory A water bottle and whatever else you may want to bring If you don't have any of these let me know prior and I can arrange for you to borrow them during your trial classes

17.01.2022 Babywearing in Kangatraining There are some baby carriers that aren’t suitable for Kangatraining (but totally fine for day to day use) and the main reason that they aren’t suitable is because they can’t be adjusted to achieve an OPTIMAL POSITION for your baby. Optimal positioning is a term used to describe the ideal position that your baby is in when they are in a baby carrier; it is a position that supports their spine and hips and ensures their safety as well.... In order to achieve this position: your baby is upright with a supported and rounded back their thighs are supported from knee crease to knee crease without over or under extending their legs and hips their knees are higher than their bum to create a ‘M Position’. Not only is this position ideal for your baby’s anatomy throughout the first year but is also is a lot more comfortable for the wearer.

08.01.2022 This week's Kangamum is (I love her son's hair it is just the cutest thing ) Name: Bindi Occupation: Aboriginal and Islander Education Worker (AIEW)... Baby’s Name: Harlem Baby’s Age: 6 months When did you start Kangatraining? 1/01/2021 What type of carrier do you have? And why do you like it? Currently borrowing a carrier from Angela at Kangatraining while waiting for an Ergobaby Omni 360 carrier I ordered online to arrive. I've heard good reviews about the Omni 360 so can't wait for Harlem and I to try it. How did you find out about Kangatraining? Facebook What do you love about Kangatraining? I love that I can safely get back into exercise while I have Harlem close by. It's great that my other children are also welcome while they're on school holidays. The classes are fun and energetic that get you moving. What are you doing when you’re not attending classes? Spending time with my family hunting, fishing and 4-wheel driving and enjoying everything Darwin has to offer. Any words of wisdom for anyone thinking of starting Kangatraining? I was feeling nervous about working out after pregnancy but I'm so glad I decided to do Kangatraining. For anyone thinking of starting, give it a go, you won't regret it!
